What's cool about your state or country?

Nope but would love to do some day.
How many people live in Toronto

In Toronto there's about 3 million people in the city. My town, which is just outside of Toronto, has about 150,000 people. It's a lot of people in a small area. :)

Did you keep track of the Wisconsin union protests? My parents really kept an eye on it all and we live in Canada! But then again, my dad is apart of a union too...

Its starting to get anoying with it all on the news and phone calls.
Are you any of those problems in your town?

A few times, actually. Haven't been there in a while though. The falls are really beautiful and there is some good entertainment like museums and casinos. A good place to spend a day or a night. And heres a fun fact, some people don't know that the Horseshoe Falls (the curved, bigger side of the falls) is actually Canadian while the smaller of the falls is American. ;)

If you could live anywhere else in Britain, where would you live?

I've never really given it any thought. To be honest, I wouldn't want to be too far from where I am now. I think Greenwich would be good.

What exactly are beaver tails? I know they're some sort of dessert, but what are they?

Summer. Definitely summer. It's warm and all the flowers are in bloom. It's beautiful in Toronto at that time. So basically June to September.

Favourite country other than England? You don't have to have visited it. Just what country you think sounds nice. :)

Well I love Ireland. :')

^What do you not like about living in England?

North Carolina, present.

Favourite North Carolinian (is that right?) sport team?

The top employer for most of the people in my town is General Motors. They've had to let a lot of people go over the last few years. That definitely has an impact.

How is the weather today?

I'm going to be honest and say I've never actually had a BeaverTail. I do know that they are a pastry. Basically fried dough spread out like a beaver tail and covered in stuff like sugar, strawberries, chocolate, whipped cream etc. Anything sweet.

Favourite British food?

What's the best beach there?

Ever been to Leeds Festival?

I'm from England. :-)

hunnington beach is popular
but if your looking for the best waves for surfing (like i would, considering i love to surf and boogie board), u go to trestles
its near san clemente on the way to san diego ^_^

Yep, it's North Carolinian- I'm surprised you got it right, most people say North Caroliner. I'd say the Carolina Panters, NFL, even though we stink.

California... are you afraid you may die (that sounds terrible... I don't mean it rudely)? Ya know, the whole West Coast is in some big trouble if anything happens to the Japanese Nuclear Powerplant. I wouldn't want to be on the West Coast right now.

Those sound great. Wish there was an equivalent here!

Hmm... Chicken tikka masala! Believe it or not, it was invented in Glaslow, Scotland. So therefore, it is a British food. Although if you include desserts, I would have a harder time choosing. We have so many delicious desserts.

Do you like poutine?

so-cal^_^

How often do you feel earthquakes?

YES! I haven't have it in such a long time but it is so addictive...and fattening. :confused3

Have you ever been to Glasgow? I was there last year to visit my grandparents and cousins since my dad grew up there. :)

im not too worried
its not that bad right now
i mean, west coast has been assured
we're not in any real danger right now
but, yeh, im nervous
just prayin nothin bad is gonna happen
but im pretty sure an earthquake is more likely to kill us at this point
earthquakes are a given tho, and happen here somewhat kinda often i guess
no biggie ^_^
but u never know :P
i mean, what with the earthquake in japan
we had some action down at the beaches
what with the tsunami
but we only got 6 ft waves
soo to answer ur question xD
not really
i stated my reasons above ahaha
and its aight i didnt take it rudely xD
its actually a great question ahahahhaha
and yeah, i guess ppl on the west coast r kinda screwed if somethin does happen :rotfl: :goodvibes
i find it wierdfunny how joking i am about this
prob cuz im not overly worried

It's more of stereotype. We catch ourselves saying it sometimes but if you hear a Canadian saying "eh?" at the end of every sentence...then they're messing with you. The word that would be more likely said is "Timmies." ;)

Why is New York called the Big Apple? I've always wondered that...

oh okay lol. Never been to the Big Apple myself, though i'd love to go someday, and according to my findings, when the Dutch settled New York (or New Amsterdam as it was called in the 1600s), they planted tons of apple trees and when the Brits took over in 1664, i guess they nicknamed that area, which is now NYC, the Big Apple. :thumbsup2

what is "timmies" supposed to mean?

Hahaha :-) It's just, the West Coast is the only one with the major fault line that hasn't had a huge earthquake in-whatever-amount-of-time so I heard people were all freaking out about it

New York- Do you like the Yankees, since you're from New York? Or do you like the Mets?

Sunny with a couple of clouds.

 Sorry! Timmies is a nickname that Canadians give to the coffee and doughnut place, Tim Hortons. We are all obsessed with it. You can't go anywhere without seeing someone without a Timmies coffee and there is a Tim Hortons on every corner. It's insane! But their doughnuts...they're to die for.

What's one place in the world that you really want to visit?
