What was the last hotel/motel/resort you stayed in and did you like it?

Stayed the weekend at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine for our anniversary. It was very nice :thumbsup2

I spent a couple of days at the W Hotel Los Angeles - Westwood at the end of last month. I had a "Spectacular Suite". That is the name of the suite but it was very nice and extremely comfortable. I had great room services and a blissful massage at the Bliss Spa.

3 out of the last 4 trips to Vegas I have stayed here. Love it's modern vibe and all suites rooms. I had booked a room @ Mandalay Bay w/ an offer for a free suite upgrade, upon checking in they didn't have any suites available so they upgraded us to THE HOTEL.:cool1:

I use to call Vegas Disney for adults, but.......since Vegas has been our vacation destination for the last 10 yr's I thought it was time to try the real Disney out for a change. Looking forward to a clean environment.....no porn slappers at Disney.:rotfl:

We stayed at the AmericInn near Springfield, MO a few months ago. The rooms were clean, the pool was lovely, and best oof all the staff was superb. I esp. appreciated that they let my family stay in one room, as otherwise we would not have been able to afford to attend my nephew's wedding.

I've driven by this hotel many times (I use to live in Sprgfld) wondered how it was. When going back to visit dad we usually stay at Arbor suites. These are like apartments a little dated but clean and economical $80 nt. http://www.arborsuitesmall.com/index.html

Last hotel was for work...

Quality in Ottawa, Canada.

It's a nice hotel, but nothing to write home about. Nice views, in a good area with LOTS to do, clean beds, comfortable mattress and pillows, decent channel selection, but everything else pretty antiquated.

I went to a convention in New Orleans a few weeks ago and stayed at The Royal Sonesta Hotel on Bourbon Street. The hotel was fine with a great location, but the weather was so hot and humid we rarely left the hotel. I have been to New Orleans many times, but we usually go in the winter when the tempertures are more comfortable.

The last place was The Omni downtown Indy. We were very pleased with it. Conncected to Circle Centre Mall. Within a pleasant walking distance of just about any type of restraunt you could want. A hop, skip, and a jump from Lucas Oil Field.

We just got back from staying at the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach, CA. Because it was our 20th wedding anniversary, we were upgraded to an ocean-view Bungalow suite with 2 balconies, 2 bathrooms and a fireplace. A truly beautiful resort in such a stunning location!

Does "Great Wolf Lodge" count?? If so, yes, we loved it! We went to the one in Grand Mound, WA, spent 2 nights there, and had a blast. In fact, I am trying to convince DH to let us spend one night there during Spring Break, since we are not going to Disneyland next year.

If that does not count, the last hotel we were at is the Best Western Park Place Inn, Anaheim. The hotel was okay. We chose it 100% for location (can't beat being right across the crosswalk to Disneyland!).

I'm at the Maui Banyan in Hawaii as I type this. It is clean, comfortable, beautifully landscaped and right across the street from the beach!

We spent all of last week at Rainbow Resort in Waubun, Minnesota. About 4 hours north of the cities.

AMAZING place! Beautiful...quiet lake (only resort on the lake and there were only 3 houses on it, too..), the grounds were very well kept, cabins clean, the owners were above and beyond nice people. I would go back in a heartbeat....

Last place I stayed was Francis Scott Key in Oceancity MD.
Loved it.
Thumbs most of the way up.

Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. I liked it is just fine and it was my second or thrid stay there. Dh and girls felt different. My girls said the pool sucked, which is the nicest pool in Vegas by a long shot. My DH kept saying we should of stayed at luxor which IMHO is a deffinate downgrade. We are booked for Luxor in Oct though since that is what he wanted.

The last place I stayed was at the Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Oregon. It's just outside of Bend OR. I was ther for a conference but man I would go back in a heartbeat. Two golf courses, tennis courts, swimming pools, hike and bike trails, fly fishing, canoes, kayaks, great eating, and a really nice (but small) room with a gas fireplace.

Prior to that it was seven nights at Port Orleans FQ in July which we always love.

The Windjammer Inn at Pine Knoll Shores NC. The rooms weren't great, but the hotel employees were wonderful and we loved the beach location and the pool and veranda areas. I think we'll be back.

We did notice one room down from ours had been renovated with new bathroom counters and flooring. We'll ask for it next time we stay. I think it was 107.

I know I've asked this in the past but I always love to read about all the different places and opinions.

The last place we stayed was at Clearwater Motel up in Mackinaw City, MI for 3 nights. Great place. Huge rooms, on the water, indoor/outdoor pool and the selling point for us (now) firepits on the beach with all the wood you need!! :thumbsup2

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency on Waikiki Beach a few weeks ago. We had ocean view rooms about 1/2 way up the tower. The rooms were very nice and the staff was super friendly. They have "Aloha Friday" in the atrium between the two towers every Friday. It's basically a free luau without all of the food. ;)
They had free henna tattoos, orchid lei making, food samples...The dancers were fantastic~ especially the fire dancer!:scared1:
