Before we went on holiday dtr made a CD of Disney music, and one of the tracks was What Time Is It? from HSM II. This CD was played every time we got in the car - and always that track and we would all sing along at the top of our voices. Son would do the what time is it? bit and wed all join in with the summertime - its our vacation bit. So that had to be what our TR was called.
Saturday was our travel day and I was taking things easy, still posting on the board and not worrying about getting the packing done. Of course, we ended up rushing at the last minute and by the time we left I was all hot and flustered. My own fault - I will be better organised next time.
Anyway our trip down the M20 was smooth enough (although husband and son were unimpressed with the football score as their team lost their opening game of the season) and we got to the Eurotunnel terminal in time to be put on the earlier train.
When we got to Calais we found our hotel easily thanks to some advice from Disers and booked in.
The rooms were basic, but perfectly adequate for our needs, which was just a place to rest overnight. We went to Cite Europe just to stretch our legs. What a strange place that is! From the outside it looks like a grotty warehouse but inside it is all shiny and new and nicer than most shopping centres I have seen over here. The majority of shops were closed but the place was really buzzing around the food and drink places. We didnt stop as we had brought snacks with us, so we went back to the girls room for snacks and a cup of tea. After this the boys went to their room and we all settled down for an early night, as we wanted to be up and on the road early on Sunday.
Thats all that happened - the Dis stuff starts tomorrow.
