What songs did you choose

Hi I'm wondering what songs you choose to walk down the aisle to if your not choosing the traditional wedding marchAre you choosing any disney music? I'm having a violinist play and am needing some ideas. I was thinking of having my bridesmaid walk in with colors of the wind bc it's beautiful played on a violin.

The wedding wasn't in Disney, but had many Disney elements. Walked in to Canon in D, walked out to the theme from Star Wars, played on the bagpipes.

We were married in Epcot (Italy) and I walked down the aisle (actually across the bridge) to A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes. After our ceremony, we both walked to A Whole New World. We did have a DJ, so it was the actually music. I think walking to Disney music would almost be expected.

As a side note, we did our candle ceremony to Can You Feel The Love Tonight and our first dance was Promise - The music that is played after IllumiNations.

Here's our list:

Families: A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes
Groom/Wedding Party: The Medallion Calls
Ringbearers/Flower Girl (IF they need a separate song): Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring
Bride: Canon in D
Unity ceremony: I See the Light
Recessional: Hornpipe & Ever Ever After

I am using a theme song from a tv show for the bride march (paying homage to my dad.) I am planning on having Rainbow Connection for the MOG and groom/best man. Still undecided on MOH.
Also, planning on music from Brave for seating-I like Celtic music.

I had a the violin at my wedding, actually it was a couple of violins. Got married at the Wedding Pavilion. Walked down the aisle to My Love by Paul McCartney (sounds really pretty on the violin). After exchanging vows, we all went back up the aisle to Zippity Do Da.

I was married at Seabreeze Point in November and had the violinist play REM's End of the World As you Know It when my dad & I walked down the aisle & Jack Johnson's Better Together when my husband & I walked back. We chose from the Disney provided list for the rest of the event & were really happy with the music all around:)

I was married at the WP in 2011. Here's our list:

Officiant, ring bearer, best man and groom: If I Didn't Have You from Monsters, Inc.

MOH and flower girl: Bibbidi bobbidi boo

Bride: I See the Light from Tangled

Sand Ceremony: When You Wish Upon a Star

Recessional: Married Life from Up

Just a little more info, my DH's guys walked down to You've Got A Friend in Me and my girls walked down to the music to SpectroMagic.

I was married at the Swan in 2011. We had a Jewish ceremony. We had a harpist (Christine MacPhail-she was incredible!!:goodvibes). Here was our list:

Pre-ceremony music (while guests were being seated):
Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring
I Can't Help Falling in Love with You
Edelweiss
Boccherini Minuet
What a Wonderful World
When You Wish Upon a Star (Disney)
I Will (Beatles)
Ode to Joy
Picture in a Frame (Tom Waits-this was also our first dance song)
Big Country (Bela Fleck)

Mothers' Seating:
Sunrise, Sunset

Bridal Party:
Once Upon a Dream (Disney)
Dance of the Lambs

Bride:
Canon in D

Ketubah Reading:
Dodi Li (traditional)

Recessional:
Beauty & the Beast (Disney)

It was perfect for us-a nice mix of classical, traditional, and songs that have meaning for us:cloud9: If we were to get married now, I would have also included "The Light" from Tangled and something from Frozen.

Our violinist and guitarist played "You Are My Sunshine" as my dad escorted me down the aisle. We planned it as a surprise for him because he used to sing it to me when I was young.

The guys walked in to "Married Life" from Up, and "As Time Goes By" played for the ladies. The recessional was "More", the theme from Mondo Cane.

DH and I struggled over our songs - for his entrance, my MOH entrance, my entrance, and our exit. All I knew was I didn't want "Hear Comes the Bride." We listened to everything and after weeks of debate we settled on our song list and I was thrilled. Eight+ years later I couldn't tell you one single song! I don't even remember hearing music when I walked in. My daddy, who was battling cancer at the time, told our wedding coordinator to hold his walker because he was going to walk his daughter down the aisle - between trying not to cry from that touching moment to seeing DH at the alter, they could have been playing "76 Trombones" and I wouldn't have noticed or cared. All that mattered was in front of me.

Now, I do remember for the cake cutting I had him play some of my mom's favorite Disney tunes in remembrance of her: "Kiss the Girl," "A Whole New World," "Part of Your World."
