What is your favorite FE gift to receive?

We are getting ready to cruise next week and we are participating in the FE gift exchange. Please give me some ideas of what you give or receive and what your favorite gifts have been!

We gave out candy that we bought in RI, and postcards from the ship. We received lots of good stuff; candy, stickers, pirate rubber balls, postcards, glow sticks, just to name what I can remember. My son loved that thing, and would run to the room each day to see what "treasures" he would find there. I was planning on giving the postage stamps for people to mail the postcards from Cast-A-Way, but you needed cash to buy them, and the post office was closed the day we went to Cast-A-Way, so they all just got postcards.

I love and still use the foam doorhanger that we got on the WB Barcelona Repo cruise last year. Someone got a kit and just add a few things to it as well as personalized it with the dates of the cruise.

When you put the things in the Fish Extenders, do you put any sort of tag on them so that people know who they came?

Okay - I'm new here and probably totally ignorant - but what are fish extenders?? I've seen a couple of threads about them but haven't got a clue?

Any help would be appreciated (without making me feel any dumber than I already do! )

On the transatlantic cruise someone (Cupcake ) had pens made up that said the name and dates of the ship/cruise. I still keep mine in my purse and get a reminder of the best vacation ever whenever I write a check
Otehr extra special goodies: personalized bookmarks, a chocolate bar with a wrapper desogned with satts about the cruise where nutrtion info should be (adorable), pirate night loot, notebooks (one is still DD11s "crusie notes" book for packing lists and the like), etc., etc. It is so FUN to get any little thing and some of the least expensive things are some of the best. I think not stressing and just having fun with the gifts is the most important part about it

We got a lot of cool things on our last cruise - a few favorites:

custom buttons with photo of Wonder and our cruise dates

laminated Mickey heads (home depot paint chips) with fasteners for bags, luggage, etc.

Glow bracelets/sticks

door magnets of various designs

mini beach shovel/bucket/mold set for DDs - they loved em!

hershey bars with custom wrappers

pirate stuff

Outside of every stateroom, there is a pewter fish that was designed to hold any mail or messages you might receive from DCL. Some people hang a pocket organizer or "fish extender" on it that can hold more goodies or gifts. You may participate in a gift exchange with fellow cruisers, where you drop off little gifts in each others fish extender. If there is a meets thread for your cruise date, someone may have already started to organize an exchange. I make stickers on the computer with our name and room number.
Some people make hang tags, like on clothing in the stores. But yes, I always like to know who gave us things, so that I can thank them.

Small first aid kit
Mini manicure set
Magnets with each port on them
Dry erase boards
Small shower gels
Purel with a clip-on for backpacks

That is my favourite and I put it on the fridge.

But I got lots of different things and some are lovely gifts.

I laugh someone put tissue on last day. It was smart *** my kids was so upset on departed times.

TRULY... For us it is ANY FE GIFT that is given from the heart with the intention that we enjoy it! From a piece of candy to a home made foam magnet to a pocket watch.

There are some that are more "Wow! How did they think of that???" but it does not mean it is better to me. Only I love seeing the creativity.
