What is your Favorite city in the world?

I'm generally not fond of any large city. They are too big, too noisy, etc. But I do like Nashville quite a lot. I wouldn't ever want to live there, but it's fun to visit occasionally.

1. Las Vegas ( I just always have so much fun when Im there)

You kind of run into the problem of defining what's a city. Look at lots of major cities in Japan or China, and they're often called "prefecture-level cities". If you look at a map of China, about half their land is considered part of prefecture-level cities, which contain counties.

What most people think of as Las Vegas is not a city. Neither is Miami - at least not one city. Most of the big casino-hotels on the Las Vegas Strip are not in the city of Las Vegas.

New York City. The greatest city in the world. I'm fortunate that I get to live here, even though it's currently kicking my butt. It's a tough place, but it's incredible.

Orlando. My hometown, which I recently moved from. Beyond the theme parks, the downtown area is absolutely charming with its historic homes, oak-lined brick streets, and cafes and shops.

I haven't travelled the world yet, but my favorite American city is probably San Diego. Although I love the change of seasons, you can't beat the perfect weather.

I guess the city I've spent the most time in is Chicago. We love to take the train there for long weekends. Paris is interesting but it's dirty.

New Orleans. I love it. We had our honeymoon there, so it makes it even more special.

Not really a city, but Laguna Beach, CA is probably where I'd move in a heartbeat if I could pick anywhere.

I use to work in Stow, had my fingers sowed back on in Akron. I love the automotive/mechanic presence in that general area, and I also like the intersections that have signs giving you permission to turn left on red.

hey

I haven't been around the world or even close, but I love Vancouver, Canada.

Also love Boston, MA

Well, when you live in an unincorporated area (which I do) it does affect a lot of details such as police/fire services, and the county takes care of stuff like fixing the streets and building permits. Of you could go the way that Disney did in Florida and set up your own governments where you effectively control everything.

However, I think if you say you're visiting "Paradise" it doesn't have quite the same recognition as "Las Vegas". Some people think it was named to keep the City of Las Vegas from annexing the land and taxing the big casinos.

I have traveled to Europe, Asia and live and traveled over much of North America. My favorite city is New Orleans.

NYC and San Francisco.

I was fortunate years ago to get to live in San Francisco courtesy of the US army (and Monterey--more of a town in my book, but I enjoyed getting to live there).

Ahhh Jackson Hole. I'm headed there in a couple weeks on a cross country drive from Oregon to NYC. It's a great small town with unfortunately high priced hotels, lol.
