Every time I go to Magic Kingdom, first thing I do is ride the train to Adventureland. I used to quote the entire monologue of the train conductor as a kid. No snoring!
My sister's MIL was named Joyce, and WDW was her favorite place to be. Because our relatives lived far, far away, DD always called Joyce "Gram," just like her cousins, and Gram treated her the same, as a granddaughter. Her favorite ride was "It's a small world" and family tradition had it that we ALWAYS rode it first, whether Gram and Puppie were on the trip or not. Gram passed away 16 years ago from Lung Cancer. Now, when we go to WDW, we get on Small World, take a deep breath, and say Hello to Joyce.
I guess it really IS a Small World!
And don't kick me off the board because I'll share my DisneyLAND quirk - we always leave Disneyland Park by the right hand side so I can blow a kiss at the lamp in the second story window of the Fire Station and say, "Thanks, Walt."
Mine is that I don't want people to talk about the real world while we're there. I don't want to hear about who said what on Facebook or who's in the hospital or what's going on at work or any of it. I am there to relax and escape for a little while and I hate the real world being discussed I hope that's not too harsh
A non-park thing is that I just love wearing Disney stuff at home...I have lots of shirts...people think it's weird, but I love it!
Everybody has their own special Disney quirk that may be part of their strategy for their WDW vacation... what's yours?
Here's mine. We drive down every year from ATL, and once we park, we never move the vehicle again until we leave to return home. We love taking Disney transportation everywhere we go and feel that taking our own vehicle (or a cab) detracts from the total experience. I know that this may sometimes cost us time in getting around to some places inside the WDW property, but that's just our deal.
