What is the best way to do Atlantis?

Hi there! We're sailing on the Dream to the Bahamas in June and we're thinking of going to Atlantis. What's the cheapest way to go?

get a room for 4 at the Comfort Suites. they share all rights to Atlantis and it's like 1/2 block walk. Cheaper than excursion. if you have Choice Hotel Points you can use those too. Point rooms are available 60 days in advance so get a choice credit card and get some points. then turn them in and stay for free. or buy a room.

I have a couple questions about Atlantis.

My group will be one adult and two kids. I priced day passes at Altantis Resort which was $313 and then a room at Comfort Suites for $273-- with taxes and fees- $345 total. Is there a significant benefit in having the room over just the resort daypasses- storage of belongings etc?

Secondly, what is the best transportation option from the Disney cruise ship to Atlantis if we don't book the excursion through Disney.

Thanks!!!

Rooms aren't guaranteed to be available until 3 or 4 PM, so you can't count on being able to use one.

Taxi. There will be many of them lined up at the port. Its $4 or $5 per person in a shared van or $15 to $20 for your own (I've heard that on May 1st fares were increased, and I have't seen the new prices).

We booked Comfort Suites for our trip in October... do we get the wrist band for Atlantis that morning when we arrive from the ship or do we have to wait until the room is ready?

You can check in as early as you like. Even if there aren't rooms available, they'll provide you with a Comfort Suites ID card which you take over to a kiosk/desk over at Atlantis to get your wristband.

Many people check in and out at the same time, never intending to use the room. The staff are quite used to this.

We just got off our 4-night Dream and did Atlantis on our own. I booked the day pass directly through Atlantis since it was slightly cheaper than the comfort suites for us (1A and 2C), and being a first-timer I was nervous about all the unknowns and wanted as few steps as possible. It was very easy. Get off the ship and walk to the taxi stand. Tell them you are going to Atlantis and they will direct you to a taxi (they are all smal vans so you will be with other people). $4/person flat rate. When you arrive at Atlantis, check in at the aquaventure desk and exchange your printed confirmation of your booking for your wristband. From there you walk through the hotel and casino until you arrive at the aquaventure area outside. I would suggest doing some pre-planning with a map as the area is very large and it took us some time to find our bearings. Bring watershoes or flip flops - the concrete walkways are very hot. Towels are provided. The resort is cashless so you will need a credit card to purchase anything. Lockers were available but I did not get one - just left our bag under our lounger - our stuff was fine. When you are ready to leave, walk back through to the front of the hotel and tell them you want a taxi to the port - again they will put you in a van - $4 per person. All in all it was a great day, my kids loved it, and I would do it again.

Can you point me to current prices for this? I'm obviously not looking in the right place, as I've tried and can't find it. I'm sure it's under the large flashing type that says buy Atlantis Day Passes Here.

We'd be interested in just the aquarium area.

I don't think they sell that pass online ahead of time....I think its called Discover Atlantis. Its a guided walking tour of the aquariums. I'm pretty sure you buy it in the same place people pick up their Aquaventure passes. I think they always sell that pass, even if Aquaventure is sold out.

Thanks, Do you know approximate cost?
