What happens to the turkey?

So with Big Thunder Ranch closing, where will the pardoned turkey go after this year? I loved that tradition!

I haven't seen the turkey go to Disneyland in a few years. I don't think they send him there anymore

They stopped sending the pardoned turkey to Disneyland several years ago. They also ended the Thanksgiving Day cavalcade at that time.

They used to send them to a park in the suburbs before Disneyland so maybe they are going back there again? FWIW apparently when they are bred to be that big they don't live very long so they never had last years turkey when the next one came.

Courage, the turkey pardoned in President Obama in 2009, is still alive -- well cared for at the Circle D Ranch (backstage).
