Ok, I'll admit I'm a bit shocked by some of the responses here - $200/day for 3 people with no breakfast?! I'd be curious to know how you manage to spend that much. I assume that involves a nice sit-down dinner each nite and maybe some drinks (which can really run up the tab quickly).
We certainly come in on the budget end. On our last trip in November, we averaged $18/person/day for myself, my wife and my 7 yo daughter. We ate breakfast in our room each day - cereal, pop tarts, juice, coffee, etc., that was bought at the supermarket (we stayed offsite). Lunch was usually counter service. Dinner was a mix of counter service, casual sit-down (like Beaches + Cream) or buffet (Boma, specifically). We did have a few meals offsite during the week. We also brought some snack food into the park with us, but still got some of our Disney favorites like Dole Whip, cookies on Main Street, caramel apples in MGM, ice cream, etc.
As you can see from all the responses, there is a wide range of what you can spend on food. Always safer to budget more and have surplus than to come up short, though.
