What do you do for a living?

I'm a High School Secretary 2 years (20 more years till retirement) woooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooo:bounce:

Before that I was Legal Secretary for 13 years (no pension and the pay really didn't get me anywhere) and I moonlighted as a part time EMT for 2 years (never do that!)

P.S. I would love to win lotto!;)

Let's see...I was a hairdresser, an A/R clerk, a secretary, and a credentialing specialist. Now another change...I'm back in college. Just finished 12 credits. (Oyyyyyyyy! So much further to go!) And I think I want to be an elementary ed teacher. I hope I hit on the right occupation this time!!

SAHM who is a substitute teacher at the middle/high school level in the same school district that my kids attend.

I work for AT Home America and I LOVE it! :)
( My website is in my profile if you want to see what it is)

Also work for the Fair Housing Council, am a SAHM ( HAHAHAHAHA), and volunteer for several things in my spare time (hahahaha)

I have had many jobs in past including Tour guide/hostess traveling through Alaska and the Yukon territory, managers assistant at a retirement home, secratary, child care worker, and restaraunt hostess.

Officially ---I own a Bail Bonding Company----Unofficial My husband and I are retired. After some time in the Bail business I decided to close my company. I will be officially closed --end of September. I have already been asked to join the staff of two other bonding companies. For now I'm going to stay home and enjoy not having to get up in the middle of the night to release a client. I was only uncomfortable during the times I had to rearrest and surrender a client. Sorry if I bored anyone ---but that was/ is my job

PattyN.

I'm an elementary school lunch lady.:D I LOVE my job! Weekends off...holidays...weeks here and there, scattered throughout the school year...and summers off. I am an "assistant cook", which means I prepare the food on the menu that day, serve the kids their lunch and clean up. The pay is pretty good and I get family benefits. This year is my 10th year. I work with three other women and we have a BALL everyday! :D

With all of the money my parents and myself spent getting my BS in Agriculture/Parks and Recreation you would think I would be doing something pertaining to my degree. But no, I'm a Floral Designer. Started working at a Flower shop when I was a Sophmore in high school and have been working at a shop on and off since.

I am a special education assistant in an elementary school. the pay stinks, but the perks are worth staying for now....15 sick days per year and I can carry them into the next year if unused, our (my daughter and I) vacations are the same,if my daughter is ill and needs to come home, we are out of the building within 5 minutes, and if both my girls happen to be out sick chances are quite a few kids will be out too, so administration knows when something is going around.(my youngest attends the school I work in),
I love this thread because I am looking to change my occupation within the next few years. I am extemely extroverted, my mom said to go to school ....do something like social work,,,(if i could mix drinks i'd make a great bartender). I just do not know what I want to do, so I love reading what you all do.

I'm currently working in a hotel in concierge.... I am taking classes for teacher certification for early childhood.

I'm an underwriter for an auto finance company but I'm about ready to move on now. The work is monotonous and there are constant rumors about people being let go due to changing performance criteria. You know, the layoff that isn't really a layoff? I've been through a layoff and I really don't need this kind of aggravation every day.

My BEST job is family travel coordinator and Mom! :teeth:

Actually my current job I have been at for 8 years. I am 911/Police Dispatcher for a small department. So that also means I do everything in the station except sweep the floors or clean the cells;) .

In the past I have been a Radio DJ, Cable TV Installer, Zamboni Driver, Concert Promoter, FORD Parts clerk, Ski Hill Tow Operator and Flake Maker (make artificial snow), oh lets not forget when I was a Worm packer, I actually broke my wrist at that job...but thats another story....:o

I sure hope when I grow up I can find a job that lasts..LOL

Have a Disney Day!!!

I was a Special Education teacher for 12 years, and am now the instructional technologist at my school. Have taught grades K-5 the entire time.

I am beginning my twentieth year as a professor, and I do a lot of expert witness work and educational seminars as well.

At this moment in time I am geographically unemployed, a SAHM and a "domestic engineer".....meaning I take care of our house and family. My DH is in the military so every three years I find myself someplace new, right now as most know I am in Italy and can't work here. By trade I am an administrative manager, my last job just ended this year (after 3 years of course) I was an AM for a real estate company.
