What are your top 3 must dos/sees?

1. Ride Haunted Mansion
2. Ride Pirates of the Carribbean.
3. Stroll around the World Showcase at night.

Three things are really difficult. My two disney daughters are 7,5. So, the must does are princesses - Princess Dining at Akershus at Epcot and Cinderella's Royal Table - find your children eating with the princesses and the family gets one pose and pictures with Belle and CInderella respectively. Another princess dining is Park Fare at the Grand Floridean, although you do not get pictures there.

As for rides, am not sure of the health of your parents, but good coasters include Aerosmith Rock n Roller Coaster, Expedition Everest, and Thunder Mountain. The best simulator ride is Soarin.

As for events, plan to attend Fantasmic at DHS, Wishes at MK, and Illuminations at Epcot. Also, the shows are really good at all the places, and outside of the castle show at MK, will offer seats and shades for you to rest. Good luck and enjoy your trip.

We went w/ our kids last year ages 9, 7, & 4 (& returning in 2 mos & 3 days) for the girl... Soarin', Askerhus and Space Mountain....We also love to eat at Ohana's and the Crystal Palace.

Soarin' and Ohana's will be loved by all in your party. Soarin' is the one ride I will not do without a fastpass!

Have a blast.

I'm afraid you may get very different answers from everyone. I also couldn't narrow it down to 3, but I'll try to give you 3 per park that I think everyone in group will enjoy together :goodvibes

MK

Haunted Mansion
Pirates
Spectro/Wishes

Epcot

Spaceship earth
Soarin
Illuminations

AK

Safari
Nemo show
It's tough to be a bug

Disney Studios

Great Movie Ride
Little Mermaid
Toy Story Mania

Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip!

So so hard to give a top three. My first instinct is to see the princesses/characters first! I will give our top three in order of park.
First Park: Magic Kingdom
1. Peter Pan
2. Splash Mountain
3. Pirates

A lot of people will tell you to do Epcot first because it's more educational and nothing can top the Magic Kingdom so don't do it first, bull, if it's your first trip I would definitely do Magic Kingdom first.

Second Park: Disney Hollywood Studios
1. Rock 'n Roller Coaster
2. Tower of Terror
3. Toy Story Mania

Third Park: Epcot
1. Soarin
2. Test Track
3. World Showcase

Fourth Park: Animal Kingdom
1. Safari
2. Everest
3. Festival of the Lion King

Other:
1. Wishes
2. Spectromagic
3. Character meet and greet/meal

Here is my list.

MK
SpectroMagic
Wishes
Pirates of the Caribbean

Epcot
World Showcase
Illuminations
Soarin

AK
Kilimanjaro Safari
Kali River Rapids

DHS
Toy Story Mania
Muppet Vision 3D

It isn't complete but like it has been said you can't do it all in 1 trip, that's why there is always the next one. :)

I'm so excited for you to visit for the first time! Especially since you're kids are at such perfect ages for WDW! I couldn't narrow it down to just three things, but I was planning for an upcoming quick trip and recently listed my "must-dos" so I figured I would share them...

Magic Kingdom
Pirates
Splash Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain
Haunted Mansion
Philharmagic
Small World
Peter Pan
Buzz Lightyear
Space Mountain

Epcot
Spaceship Earth
Soarin
Test Track
Seas
World Showcase

Studios
Rockin Roller Coaster
Tower of Terror
Toy Story Mania
Fantasmic

Animal Kingdom

My fave place to dine is breakfast in the Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends.

Best of luck planning and have a blast in WDW :wizard:

Aloha,

As a Trip Planner Deluxe, to answer your question fairly, I need to know:

1. When is your trip? (start and stop date)
2. What is your budget?
3. What are the family's priorities? (parks, meals, shows, rest, pools, characters, resort experience, etc...)
4. Can y'all make RD (rope drop)?
5. Where are your traveling from? (Answer relates to how much rest you need upon WDW arrival).
6. How often can you visit WDW?

I hope you get the idea!

It just occurred to me that I should have really answered your question differently, as you're traveling with younger children. These were the must dos the time I went with my cousins, who were 5 and 8 at the time...

Magic Kingdom
Pirates
Buzz Lightyear
Splash Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain
Barnstormer
Winnie the Pooh
Philharmagic
Small World

Epcot
Soarin
Kidcot stations (I think that's what they're called)
Innoventions
Seas

Animal Kingdom
Lion King
Safari
Boneyard
Planet Watch

Studios
Toy Story
Tower of Terror
Little Mermaid
Muppets
Fantasmic

There's quite a bit of difference between the two lists. My family tends to be pretty child centered on WDW vacations, so we also made sure to allow plenty of time for character meets, a few character meals, and made sure to catch all the shows/parades possible. THey were really into the characters last trip.

Mines would have to be

Ride Spaceship Earth
Funnel Cake from Sleepy Holllow at MK
Walk the World at Epcot

MK
Ride: BTMRR, Space Mountain, Teacups, Buzz, & PotC
Watch: Philharmagic & Wishes
Eat: quick meal at Pecos Bill's or Columbia Harbor House, funnel cake (for DF) & soft serve (for me) at Sleepy Hollow, plus grab a popcorn bucket to munch on while watching Wishes

Epcot
Ride: Soarin', Mission Space Orange, Journey into Imagination, Living with the Land, Maelstrom, Spaceship Earth
Watch: Impressions de France, any of the WS street performers, Illuminations
Eat: CS at Sunshine Seasons, TS at Biergarten or Tokyo Dining, snacks at Norway's bakery (school bread!)

DHS
Ride: TSMM, RnR, ToT
Watch: Beauty & the Beast
Eat: CS at Sci-Fi Dine-In, snacks from Starring Rolls
...as you see, we spend very little time here. We've never been able to devote a full day to DHS, whether staying on property or just driving up for the day...we always wind up hopping. DHS is just not for us.

AK
Ride: Everest, Primevil Whirl, Dinosaur, Safari, Kali Rapids
Watch: Festival of the Lion King, It's Tough to be a Bug
Explore: Maharajah Jungle Trek, Rafiki's Planet Watch, Oasis
Eat: CS at Flame Tree or Pizzafari, TS at Yak & Yeti or Rainforest

With smaller children, here are my top threes.

Meals
-Crystal Palace
-Chef Mickey's
-Cinderella's Royal Table
(All Character Meals)

Rides
-Buzz Lightyear
-Toy Story Mania
-Splash Mountain

Parades/Shows
-Spectromagic Parade
-Wishes
-Illuminations

Everything everyone else has said, but I wanted to highlight Fantasmic!!! It's my biggest must-do while at WDW. I would never go and not see this show if it's showing when I'm there!!!!!

Wow, only 3?? :goodvibes

Soarin
Splash Mountain
Mickey's Phillharmagic

but my 3 by parks would be

Magic Kingdom:

Splash Mountain
Mickey's Philharmagic
Haunted Mansion

Epcot:

Soarin
Honey I Shrunk the Audience
Spaceship Earth

Hollywood Studios:
Tower of Terror
The Great Movie Ride
R&R Roller Coaster

Animal Kingdom:
Expedition Everest
Kiliminjaro Safari's
Kali River Rapids

Expedition Everest
Tower Of Terror
Test Track

For non thrill rides:
TTA
Buzz Lightyear
Haunted Mansion

Just 3 things:

1. Fantasmic
2. Festival of Lion King
3. Illuminations

I measure these based on the WOW factor. These 3 thing get the entire family regardless of age to say "WOW" at the end of them louder then anything on else on Disney property. . T
