It had been a lovely morning and it was time to go. We needed a break. We planned on leaving the hotel by 5 to pick up Gabby at LGB. I was excited to have the whole crew together but I guess not having her there started to prepare me for the near future of her flying the coop.
We headed into The Mad Hatter. Chloe expressed she wanted a new hat of sorts this trip so we were on the hunt. We ended up finding Chloe a hat but not the one in the pic.
Joshua despises Frozen so the Olaf on his head is pretty funny.
We had a little fun on the way out. Note Chloe's new Peter Pan hat.
And I had to snap a pic of these. I still want a balloon every single trip and never end up getting one. I may change that in two weeks.
Now please forgive me but the really fun thing that happened on our way out happened another day, not today. My photos reminded me. Its not all that amazing but fun. Sorry you'll have to wait.
We took the tram back to our front row parking space and noticed what it said on the parking spots. So cool right?! Looks like there was two of us.
We passed the Grand on our way out. I was hardly able to look.
I know I am a baby but gosh I missed staying there.
We headed back to the ES and you can tell by the kids determined walk, they wanted to rest. Babies.
I however would rather punch myself in the face than sit in a dark hotel room with an uber crappy view during the middle of the day so I headed down to the pool. Michael followed a short time after.
We decided we needed to stop by the store and grab more water before picking Gabby up so we headed out to do that and find dinner. Of course we ended up at Super Mex in Cypress.
It was Happy Hour which meant sort of cheap beer and half off apps. We got the mini chimis. And tacos for entrees. Their beef tacos are the best taco I have ever had. Their shells and red sauce are amazing. if you are ever near a Super Mex, give a try, its the BEST! The only thing I don't love are their tortilla chips but their salsa makes it worth it. We also got Gabby food to go because we knew she'd be hungry and we wanted to ride like the dickens when we got back to
Disneyland.
We headed to the airport to grab Gabby. Love this tunnel in Long Beach. It just screams home to me. Cypress and Long Beach in the same day; talk about blast from the past. I was born is LB, raised in Cypress, and went back to LB during my college days.
Gabby's flight was 20 minutes early so I am glad we left earlier than planned. All my babies together:
We pulled into the asking structure, showed our cute certificate and parked in our front row spot! I was a little surprised it wasn't taken to be honest. But there it sat, empty.
