We've got Deluxe APs but we're out of DVC points! A year of Disneyland trips- updated 6/27!

I'm not sure I know what a wrap dress is. Both look nice I can't wear clothes that aren't forgiving.

I'm going to wear dresses all weekend. Because I'm constantly cleaning and doing moving type of work every day, I have to wear crappy clothes. Finally I'll get to dress nicely!

I get it! I love to dress up when I can.

What a great day so far. You really are getting through so much in the day.

Love the dresses, ladies.

Sounds good

Oh contrare! Mom likes to 'banish' those that are grouchy at WDW :)

This sounds horrendous. I'm sorry there are still people out there like this. But I guess there always will be :(

I'm sorry I missed you last night. The game in Park City was actually in Heber City which was 20 miles past PC. :scared: Took an hour and 20 minutes each way. The boys have to be there an hour before the game and the games are two 35 minute halves with a 5 minute halftime and of course another 15 minutes in subbing players etc...we didn't get home until 7 and then I had to take Chloe driving.

The game went okay but the center was home cooking which means calling for the home team. It so sucks. Our boys out played this team and should have won. He called one of our goals offsides which is wasn't and he carded our player, who deserved it, however allowed the other team to be as aggressive as they want. Joshua played a stellar game though. He is such a good Captain. He's the one that speaks to the ref when there is a scuttle and I can't believe how grown up he seems.

I'm with Mom on banishing the crabby!

Goodness, you did get a lot done. I love the Finding Nemo Submarines, too, but normally the wait for those is crazy. 20 minutes sounds great. Buzz Lightyear is one of my favourite rides. I am not very good at it, but I enjoy it anyway. I could eat one of those Dole Whip Floats right now. What a shame that you did not get to do Star Tours, but what a nice idea to pass the Fastpasses on to another family.

Corinna

The kids were okay with missing Star Tours right then. That's how I know they were beat. ;)

They're both good choices.

Thanks lady!

I totally get wanting to dress up and you are the Birthday Girl! :flower:I am trying to think of what I will pack....I hate only having a carry on. :crazy2:

:thanks:

I think we got a lot done too. Love those early morning hours.

Loading pics for another update......

It had been a lovely morning and it was time to go. We needed a break. We planned on leaving the hotel by 5 to pick up Gabby at LGB. I was excited to have the whole crew together but I guess not having her there started to prepare me for the near future of her flying the coop.

We headed into The Mad Hatter. Chloe expressed she wanted a new hat of sorts this trip so we were on the hunt. We ended up finding Chloe a hat but not the one in the pic.

Joshua despises Frozen so the Olaf on his head is pretty funny. :lmao:

We had a little fun on the way out. Note Chloe's new Peter Pan hat. :teeth:

And I had to snap a pic of these. I still want a balloon every single trip and never end up getting one. I may change that in two weeks.

Now please forgive me but the really fun thing that happened on our way out happened another day, not today. My photos reminded me. Its not all that amazing but fun. Sorry you'll have to wait. :duck::flower3:

We took the tram back to our front row parking space and noticed what it said on the parking spots. So cool right?! Looks like there was two of us.

We passed the Grand on our way out. I was hardly able to look. I know I am a baby but gosh I missed staying there.

We headed back to the ES and you can tell by the kids determined walk, they wanted to rest. Babies. :lmao:

I however would rather punch myself in the face than sit in a dark hotel room with an uber crappy view during the middle of the day so I headed down to the pool. Michael followed a short time after.

We decided we needed to stop by the store and grab more water before picking Gabby up so we headed out to do that and find dinner. Of course we ended up at Super Mex in Cypress. :cloud9:

It was Happy Hour which meant sort of cheap beer and half off apps. We got the mini chimis. And tacos for entrees. Their beef tacos are the best taco I have ever had. Their shells and red sauce are amazing. if you are ever near a Super Mex, give a try, its the BEST! The only thing I don't love are their tortilla chips but their salsa makes it worth it. We also got Gabby food to go because we knew she'd be hungry and we wanted to ride like the dickens when we got back to Disneyland.

We headed to the airport to grab Gabby. Love this tunnel in Long Beach. It just screams home to me. Cypress and Long Beach in the same day; talk about blast from the past. I was born is LB, raised in Cypress, and went back to LB during my college days. :lovestruc

Gabby's flight was 20 minutes early so I am glad we left earlier than planned. All my babies together:

We pulled into the asking structure, showed our cute certificate and parked in our front row spot! I was a little surprised it wasn't taken to be honest. But there it sat, empty.

Family tram selfie:

We're in! Notice Chloe's cute Baymax tank top.

On our way in the parade was going on. They won't let you stop but I couldn't help getting a quick pic of Ariel.

The only set thing we wanted to do that evening was ride BTMRR during the fireworks.

Joshua ran over to grab FPs for Space and we met him to ride BTMRR stand by. The posted wait time was 25 minutes but we didn't wait more than 20.

After BTMRR we rode HM to which everyone but me doesn't love without the NBC overlay. Haters. ;)

Next was POTC. I love POTC at dusk. I think that area is just beautiful.

After POTC we rode the Jungle Cruise. JC is so much better at night. Sadly our guide was a dud. We are corny and love that ride. He stunk.

After JC, the kids definitely wanted some excitement so they headed into Tomorrowland. Michael stayed with me and suffered through The Tiki Room. :lovestruc Its by far one of my all-time favorite attractions. He was such a good sport.

To be continued.....

I don't know but, I'm fond of the Maleficent hat. But, I also get the Peter Pan on too. My daughter Kody has Peter Pan based room and has her hat hanging on the wall.

You always have such fun photos!

There is no way I could do only carry on unless we were staying for just one night.

Love this tunnel in Long Beach.

Is that the one on Lakewood Blvd?

I've never been to Super Mex. Fran got sick from one, so she's not too keen on eating there. Just up Lakewood Blvd from the Airport there is a little strip mall filled with tasty food options. There's a CA Fish Grill (one of my new favs for good healthy and tasty food), Habit Grill (yummy burgers) and then Flame Broiler (Teriyaki Bowls).

You guys must run from attraction to attraction to get so many in during one day!

I rather like that hat.

We passed the Grand on our way out. I was hardly able to look. I know I am a baby but gosh I missed staying there.

I know how you feel. I am still hoping that at least one of my waitlists comes through and I can stay there for part of my trip, but I am realistic and know this will probably not happen.

I however would rather punch myself in the face than sit in a dark hotel room with an uber crappy view during the middle of the day so I headed down to the pool.

I can understand that. However, I promised myself to have some nap time on my next trip.

That food looks delicious.

That sounds like an amazing experience.

Mmmm Dole Whips. Now I am hungry. Good thing I have pineapple in the fridge from a party!

I love the west side of the park at twilight. It's so magical. The neon of Tomorrowland is cool, but I love NOS, Frontierland, and Adventureland's vegetation and the flickering lights. And all the ride concepts seem more eerie -- ghost town train, haunted house, temple of doom, pirate lair, etc.

No worries, truly. I'm sorry I couldn't stay awake. I just didn't want to miss your call. I'm trying to figure out all the particulars, and you wanting to talk is making me look into everything again.

Bummer that it didn't go as it should have. But at least Josh is a good sport and still had fun. Too cool that he's a such a good captain :)

I'm with Mom on banishing the crabby!

Could this trip get any better! Family time, tons of rides, awesome pictures, more rides, delicious food, everybody together again. LOVE IT!!!

Got caught back up on your latest posts. You were able to get a lot done that day at DL from going on the rides and getting the Dole Whip Float. You got a great score on BLAB.

You did mentioned Super Mex to me on your threads that I should stop at that restaurant one day. And after seeing your pictures of the food, it might be worth the time to stop when I go back down to SoCal. Is the Super Mex in Cypress closest to the DLR or is there another one that is closer?

Yay for having all the kids together! That food looks super yummy. I just love the park at night. Everything is more magical. ;)

I'll go to the Tiki Room with you in 9 days! I love it but you have to put up with my horrible singing. :)

I need to go dig out my dress to bring. It's in with my summer clothes some where! I hope the weather is warm next week!

I liked the hat too but I love the Peter Pan one.

Thanks! goodvibes:

It was the Super Mex in Cypress off Katella. Its so good. If you ever get the chance to try it without Fran, you won't be sorry.

Bret talks about the CA Fish Grill. We have Habit Burger here. My MIL loves it. I think it's okay but doesn't hold a candle to In n Out.

Nap time. I love the way that sounds but I can't ever put it into practice.

Hoping your waitlist comes through too!!!!

I agree, that side of the park is pure magic! pixiedust:

Did you make a Dole Whip with your pineapple?

Thanks friend! I just love family Disney trips. :cloud9:

Let's try to connect this weekend. :)

You need to try it. I think you'll enjoy it. The one in Cypress is less than 6 miles away.

Yay! :woohoo: I adore The Tiki Room. You'll also have to put up with my horrible singing. :lmao:

It looks warm on the 10 days. Next Thursday says 81*. :flower3:

It should be. Its cold this week so it can't be cold two week in a row!

It says the 80's. Perfect Disney weather to me. I'll still need a sweatshirt at night. It's saying 59* in the evenings.
