Hi everyone. I'm new to this. I was wondering if any of you out there can help me. I'm getting married Aug. 7, 2004 and am having a Disney themed wedding. I'm trying to figure out what kind of unique Disney wedding favors I could give to my guests. If any of you have any ideas please let me know. Thanks.

I don't know what your budget is like, or how many guests you're having, but here are a few ideas...

* personalized mouse ears for everyone: does double duty as favors AND seating "cards" for the reception. Would be expensive.

* Disneyland or Disney World keychains

* miniature plush Mickey dolls

* some sort of Disney-related candy, perhaps giant lollipops with Mickey's face on them?

* Disney-themed cookies. If homemade, could be quite inexpensive.

I'll try to come up with more! :)

Hi there,

We are renewing our wedding vows on board the Disney wonder Cruise ship in December 2003 and I have really put the disney theme into it.

Firstly, we all have disney character names, (there are 11 family members) I am Tinker Bell and my husband is Peter Pan, there is Snow white, Dopey etc etc. So I bought some plain Mickey Mouse ears and decorated them with something about each character. I made a Dopey hat for my dad and a Pinocchio hat for my brother.

of course, I do not want them to wear them at the ceremony but afterwards will be great - we are a family that likes alot of fun.

For the place cards at the dinner table I have put everyone's character name on them instead of their real names and for a favour I found some real cute little mickey mouse head badges that flash. They are magnetic, so the plan is to put them on the place cards and have them flashing when everyone sits down. Then we can all wear them and walk around flashing!

They are great, not too big, just right for a favour and real fun too. I was going to make favour bags for them but we thought it would be better if they were flashing on the place cards when people sat at the table.

I found them on Ebay and if you want any more details please feel free to email me and I will help you if I can.

We are in the UK and leave on 26 November so if you need any questions answering let me know soon.

Whatever you decide, I am sure it will be lovely, and being at Disney will make your day extra Magical! Half the fun is planning it. Have fun!!

Disney Aggie,

For my bridal shower, I had little plastic cinderella slippers that I got at Hobby Lobby (their like 39 cents a piece) wrapped in tulle then filled with mints......everybody loved them, but you have to be careful and not put them in the sun or you'll have a mess!!!

For our at home reception I had candy bars made that had a fairy tale candy bar wrapper on it. Those were a big hit to, everyone took one home..........I saw a couple people take 2 or 3 :teeth:

:Pinkbounc :bounce:

I found the same "glass" slippers (clear plastic) in TWO sizes at the Dollar Tree!! They sell them in bags of 8 and 6, I think - for $1, of course.

I'm not sure if I'll use them or not, but it's an option. ;) (and an inexpensive one)

For my recent wedding in Disney World I gave as favors to the woment Miniture Lead Crystal Grand father Clocks that were all timed at 12:00 you can view them at the following link

For the men I purchased Silver plated cinderella shoe bottle openers http://www.wrapwithus.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=wwu&Product_Code=M-4601

with a heart shaped bottle stopper http://www.wrapwithus.com/Merchant2...re_Code=wwu&Product_Code=6549p&Category_Code=
They were huge hits at my wedding as well as things that actually can be used after the wedding is over.

Also for my place card I purchased the following frames and had my guests names in them with the table that they were sitting at http://www.wrapwithus.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=X-pff19cb&Category_Code=

Each table had a cinderella theme to it. My table was the Castle Table. My parents had the Cinderella table, my husbands had the Prince charming table My godmother had the fairygod mother table ect.
We had the table cards made by http://www.fairytalebridalshop.com/tbc.html They are absolutely beautiful
They also made my personalized disposable camara covers
http://www.fairytalebridalshop.com/cc.html

We also had a carature artist attend the reception to draw a cartoon picture of each guest as another favor for them. This was GREAT because it was funny to see how everyone looked in someone elses eyes.

I also own a online store that makes personalized wrappers so I had customized miniture candy bar wrappers with a cinderella theme to scatter around each table for my guest to nibble on.

If you go to ebay and type in cinderella wedding there are lots of ideas for a disney themed wedding.

We also had tucked into each napkin at each place seating a almond flower which can be viewed at http://www.weddingcents.com/wedding_027.htm
scroll down the page to see it.

There was also a site that sold small sand castles in different colors but i cant find the site now. They would make nice favors as well for a cinderella wedding

For our Disney wedding in '99 I had Disney mugs from the Disney Store as our favors. Since they didn't look very "formal," I put them in gold foil boxes with gold shredded foil around them in the box. We then stacked them pyramid style in the center of each table and scattered rose petals on them, with a few roses on top of the pyramid. Each guest took one at the end of the reception. This worked great - saved money on centerpieces that we couldn't take home anyway since we were in Florida. And everyone can always use a mug - and it was a nice reminder of the wedding in WDW. I also didn't have to pay Disney some outrageous fee for some other favor.

Another idea for favors....

One of my friends and a fellow DisneyMooner, Minda, does custom candies, cookies, etc. Her prices are very appealing and you can customize flavors, colors, design, etc.

She is also a vendor for Carlson Craft Invitations!

Her e-mail is: briarrosechocolate@yahoo.com

HTH!

Ahhhh Yes............. I will second Briar Rose. She does do incredible work. I am in fact needing to contact her to customize a chocolate picture frame for me for a friends 50th Anniversary so that we may be able to have it as a cake topper. Thanks for reminding me:earseek: I meant to do this weeks ago.
Some of her samples can be viewed at
