We had a winter storm warning last night. We were expecting 4-8 inches of snow from last night through tonight. It started to snow and we actually left our friends' NYE party at 11:05 to "get home before it gets bad". 5 minutes from their house (we live 10 miles south) it turns to rain. As of midnight, every station in town and the weather service still saying expect tons of snow.
This morning? NOTHING. Not a flake. And radar is totally clear. I've never seen all of the predictions be this wrong. And of course since it's New Year's Day there is no local news, so the lucky weather guys don't have to be all flustered and explain themselves.
I guess it went north (hello Detroit) and perhaps East (Cleveland? Are you getting snow?) But here in NW Ohio, where weather channel last night was saying we would "bear the brunt" of the snow, it's a great example of how you can't believe the hype, even with super doppler whatever!
