We Should Have Never Given You Those Oakleys!! *UPDATED 9/1/15*

Continuing on with the trip report, we woke up to start day 3—which was Christmas!!!

We took our time getting ready as we did not have fastpasses to use until noon. Surprisingly, the bus did not take too long to get to us and we were off for the day in the Magic Kingdom!

We immediately headed towards Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to use our first fastpass.

The guy in front of us decided to become spiderman apparently…

On day 3, I woke up not feeling so great… but I wasn’t going to let it ruin my day. However, after we got off the ride I started to feel worse and worse.

We decided to go walk around a little bit until our next Fastpasses. Mom and I decided to take a selfie while waiting…

I was getting pretty hungry, so we decided to go to Columbia Harbor House for a quick lunch. I headed upstairs to once again work my magic on getting us a table while mom and dad waited for the food.

For lunch I ate the chicken tenders, and blueberry cobbler. It was pretty delicious, but CHH was crazyyyyy busy.

After lunch, we walked down to the Haunted Mansion for our next fastpasses. The Haunted Mansion also had a really large crowd of people around it, but our wait was pretty short.

After riding the Haunted Mansion, we decided to walk over to Tommorowland to see what else we could do. We went to watch the Carousel of Progress, and the People Mover.

I was starting to feel worse at this point, and I really just wanted to lay down for a while. Although I was feeling awful, I still managed to take a selfie. It was raining, and cold so excuse the look. Haha.

Dad and I went to ride Space Mountain, while mom took refuge from the rain in the arcade.

After riding Space Mountain, and looking around Tomorrowland a little bit more we were getting hungry again so we headed towards Tony’s Town Square for our dinner reservations.

We were about an hour early, but we checked in regardless and they told us that it would be a long wait. There were no seats available, and I felt completely miserable so I sat on the floor and played a game on my cell phone. After about 30 minutes of waiting, we were brought to a table.

Our waiter brought us the bread service, and drinks while we looked over the menu.

I ordered the chicken parmesan (which I just had for dinner actually). It was decent, but could have come out a little hotter in temperature.

I was so engulfed by my chicken that I forgot to snap pictures of mom and dad’s dinner. After our entrees, we ordered dessert. I ordered the peppermint cheesecake, which was okay. I definitely wouldn’t order it again…

Dad ordered the tiramisu… which is my favorite. So, why didn’t I order it?!

Mom asked for a no sugar added dessert, and was told they could only give her fruit. She was pretty bummed out about it, but she dealt with it pretty well.

We decided to conclude our night, and head back to CBR. There were a lot of families on the bus heading back, and the bus seemed to take forever.

Mom and I got off of the bus at Old Port Royale to get me some hot tea and honey for my throat. After browsing around the shop, and drinking my tea, we went back to the room to go to bed.

Overall, it was a great Christmas Day in the Magic Kingdom as we knew that the crowds would be crazy! (and they definitely were).

Up next… Epcot, Narcoossee’s, and Dolphin poop.

Although that's clearly not as awesome as riding Big Thunder as Spider-Man, it's still pretty cool you were able to tough it out and seemingly have a good day.

Yes, it was rough being so sick the whole trip! Unfortunately, things got seemingly worse as the trip progressed but I still enjoyed it!

Alright, continuing on with my vacation coverage….

I woke up fairly early this morning, and everyone got ready to head off to EPCOT. We arrived at the bus stop, and waited… waited… waited… and waited some more.

There was a transportation cast member keeping track of which buses were arriving and when, but people were starting to get grumpy that every EPCOT bus passed us up. Finally, after a long wait an empty EPCOT bus was dispatched to our stop and we were on our way.

As much as I love CBR, sometimes the bus service is rough. Unfortunately, if you are not at one of the first stops and you travel early, it is possible that every bus might be completely full once it reaches you.

Once we arrived at EPCOT, I checked my phone to see what our Fastpasses were.

We still had some time to kill, so we made our trek to the Land to get something to eat for breakfast. They had this cute winter display next to the elevators…

Once we arrived, everyone went in their separate ways and ordered some food. I wasn’t very hungry and opted for a piece of strawberry shortcake. Unfortunately, I was feeling absolutely awful at this time and while usually the shortcake is my favorite… it tasted bland and boring.

After breakfast, we decided to go back to Spaceship Earth to use our Fastpasses. Mom and I sat behind dad, and noticed that he chose Japanese as his language. For the duration of the ride, Dad listened to the whole thing in a language that he had absolutely no knowledge of… and it was hilarious.

After learning about our future on Spaceship Earth, we were off to explore the world showcase.

We began on the Mexico side, and decided to go look around for a little while.

There was not a large line for the Gran Fiesta Tour boat ride, so we jumped right on.

We moved on to Norway, and walked through the Frozen exhibit.

I took a quick snap chat before we continued…

At this point I was starting to get tired, and it was time to head back to the Living Seas to ride the Nemo ride.

Along the way, we saw a cute turtle swimming in the water and watched him for a few minutes…

After the Nemo ride, we went and watched the Dolphins for a little while… and I must say they continuously went #2 the entire time. Hahaha. It was awkward to watch, but we enjoyed watching them swim.

Before concluding our tour of EPCOT, we used our fastpass for Soarin’. Afterwards, we decided to go back to the CBR to relax and get ready for our dinner later that night. I was starving so mom and I stopped at Old Port Royale to get a snack. It was at this point in the trip that I discovered the most delicious dessert I have ever had at Disney…

This little beauty is a vanilla cupcake, peanut butter whipped icing, with a banana filling. It is AMAZING!!!! If you make your way to CBR, you should most definitely try this cupcake. It is life changing.

After our snack, we went back to the room where I took a short 2 hour nap. Once everyone was dressed and ready, it was time for Narcoossee’s!!!

We took the monorail to the Grand Floridian and were seated almost immediately.

After ordering our food, I proceeded to take a selfie… sick and all. My face was super puffy from being so sick, so don’t judge!

Dad and I both ordered the steak and lobster, which I didn’t enjoy at all. I’m not sure what it was (probably the whole sick thing), but the steak tasted charred and the lobster was not very tasty as it was the last time we were at Narcoossee’s.

Mom ordered the lobster, and after everyone ate it was time for the fireworks. Everyone headed outside to watch, but I was not feeling well at all so I stayed at the table and watched.

After the fireworks, the waitress brought out our desserts. Mom got the no-sugar added chocolate mousse, and I ordered the almond crusted cheesecake.

I love Narcoossee’s, but this meal was not very good. I really think it was just the fact that I was sick, and I cannot wait to go back to try it again. We finally went back to the CBR, and I crashed.

Not much of a dessert guy, but I transform into one at WDW, and that cupcake at CBR might have to happen. Wow.

The resort looks awesome! Definitely excited for our upcoming stay there.

I’m backkk! School has started back up for the summer, and I’m really trying to do well so I can graduate in December…. So that is why there has been such a delay in updates! I’m sorry ya’ll! I should definitely try to finish this soon though, as I am having wrist surgery next week and won’t be able to type for a while L

So, on to the next day! It was our Magic Kingdom day, and we had an early FastPass for BTMR. We entered the MK and headed straight for Frontierland. Once we got there, I made the decision that we should probably change our Splash Mountain FastPass for something else, as I was STILL not feeling so hot.

Anyways, along the way we took the Steamboat and took some pictures.

After riding BTMR, it was time for our FastPass lunch at Be Our Guest. I had pre-ordered before we left home, so all we had to do was show up at our scheduled time. This process was pretty awesome, and we were sitting in the west wing within minutes.

I didn’t take pictures of our lunch, because I was just so excited to be at Be Our Guest. For lunch I ordered the croque monsieur, which I had gotten the year before and absolutely loved. This time however, it was burnt and extra crispy… so much so that I didn’t eat much of it. For dessert I ordered the Master’s cupcake, which was of course DELICIOUS.

I hate to keep complaining during this TR about icky food and sickness, but that sandwich was disgusting!! Aside from my disgust towards my lunch, mom and dad loved their sandwiches (prime rib, and turkey).

After lunch, we went to Tomorrowland and rode the People Mover. After riding the People Mover, we watched the Carousel of Progress, which both mom and dad chose to take a nap in. I mean I know we have seen that show a MILLION times, but come on wake up! Haha. After the Carousel of Progress, we went to Stitch’s Great Escape.

I LOVEEEE Stitch, so this show is always a must do for us.

After Stitch’s Great Escape, we went to go ride Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. It wasn’t quite time for our FastPasses, so I decided to take a selfie while waiting.

A CM came up to me mid-photoshoot and decided to join in on the fun. He was hilarious, and everyone got a big kick out of him taking a selfie with me.

After Buzz Lightyear, we walked over to the Haunted Mansion and used our last fastpasses for the day.

After the HM, we went and looked in some of the stores before deciding to head out of the park. The Christmas parade was going on, so we were stopped for a few minutes…

Once out of the MK, we took the bus back to CBR. Mom and I stopped at Old Port Royale to get me some hot tea. Afterwards, we went back to the room to get ready for dinner.

I obviously decided to take another selfie.

We waited for a short time at the bus stop, and were on our way to EPCOT.

We walked to the Rose and Crown in the World Showcase, and were given a pager to come back. While waiting, mom and I went to shop while dad tried to find somewhere to sit. Dad didn’t feel so great either, and his back was hurting pretty bad so everyone was ready to eat and go rest.

Our pager finally went off, and we were seated. Without looking at the menu, we all knew that we wanted Fish and Chips. Dinner was actually pretty decent, and for dessert I ordered Stickey Toffee Pudding.

Unfortunately, during dinner a young girl got sick in the middle of the dining room, which kind of ruined my appetite. Disney management took a while to clean it or cover it up, which I felt was pretty bad…

After dinner, mom and I went to walk around the World Showcase a little while dad went back to CBR to rest.

Mom and I went to shop a little bit, before deciding we were ready to go to bed. We went back to CBR, and watched a little bit of TV before bed.

Yes, I pretty much stayed sick the whole trip. It got better, but these few days were terrible.

Lol, I guess I am the only one who visits Stitch's Great Escape (I love Stitch!!), but its just like how you're the only one reading my TR. (which I definitely appreciate btw!!)

A good tip is to strategically time replies to comments so your TR stays near the top of the list, though I'll admit it's hard to not reply immediately.

Ugh I was daydreaming about that Monkey Cupcake this morning actually. haha.

I should probably be doing some Spanish homework right now instead of reminiscing about this trip… but I’m not. I’m definitely okay with being here instead of conjugating countless Spanish verbs anyways.

Anyways, back to Disney…

The next morning, we woke up and got ready to go to Animal Kingdom. While getting ready, Mom decided she was going to stay behind and do laundry (boo). Dad and I finished packing my park bag with a bunch of junk that we didn’t need, and were off to the bus stop.

Meanwhile, Mom had made a phone call… to my aunt that lives like 15 minutes from Disney. (Must be nice… I’d be there ALL the time). They decided to meet up for lunch at the resort while she did laundry, sounds like more fun than riding Expedition Everest… (lies! My day was awesome!).

While mom was having the time of her life doing laundry, Dad and I arrived at Animal Kingdom. I wanted to see some animals, and of course ride EE… so we walked through the animal exploration trail where I saw these beautiful creatures.

We have a pond in the backyard, and I’m sure Disney wouldn’t miss one of them… right? Haha.

I was in love with the black swans until I saw this adorable creature…

At this point, dad was ready to move on. So, we went and got him a cup of coffee and a breakfast pastry on our way to Dinosaur. After his breakfast, it was time for our FastPass. We watched the pre-ride video, which is antiquated, and we were off to save Big Red!! Oh, wrong ride! Well, we were off to save the Iguanodon.

Once we had time traveled through space to save the rebel spy (I’m just confused due to all the time traveling I did this vacation)… I was getting hungry. Dad and I decided to stop at Restaurantosaurus—along with the other thousand people in the park who were hungry, go figure.

We both ordered cheeseburgers, and two chocolate mousses. Along the way, one of the chocolate mousses took a dramatic fall off of the tray… don’t ask. It was traumatic. I might have shed a tear.

We found a table outside, and dressed our burgers. The burgers were just okay, and I don’t know what the chocolate mousse tasted like. Oh well.

After lunch, we walked over to Rafiki’s Planet Watch and took the train. The train was PACKED. I mean, I was basically sitting on a stranger’s lap. It was awkward.

After I made new friends, dad and I made pit stops at the restrooms.

I learned a lot in that short bathroom trip. I’m talking life-changing information.

Once I met back up with dad, we discussed our new knowledge and went to look around.

Let me preface this next image with telling a story. Last weekend, I was about to leave the house. While opening the door, I saw something weird moving near my truck. Upon further glance, I saw a black snake just slithering near my tires. I FREAKED and ran back inside. Needless to say, I was terrified!!! I hate snakes. So, to take this next picture there was a lot of zoom on my camera. Just saying.

I guess he’s kind of cute… but not really.

Then we saw some cute iguanas, which were clearly not moving so that the other could cross the log.

After looking around, we decided to go back to the main park. Once we got back to Africa we saw the Flights of Wonder show was about to start, so we wandered in.

After the show, we decided to try out the single rider line for EE.

The wait for the single rider line took only about 15 minutes. Dad went on the car after mine, so there was a super short wait in between.

After we met back up, we decided to go walk the Pagani Forest Trail.

At this point, mom decided to come meet up with us at AK. We went and walked around the shops for a little while until it was time to use our FastPasses for EE.

Dad and I went to ride, while mom decided to hang back and take pictures.

After EE, mom’s band still had a FastPass for it that she didn’t want to use. So I broke the Disney rules, and used it myself while Dad went through the single rider line again. I felt kind of bad about using her FastPass, but at least I didn’t let it go to waste!

Once we ran away from the Yeti like a million times that day, we decided to exit the park and head over to Epcot.

On the way out, the trees near the entrance were FILLED with egrets sleeping. It was a really cool sight to see!

We arrived at the bus stop, and the line for EPCOT was ridiculously long. I decided we should be adventurous and take the Yacht Club bus that had no one on it.

Once we arrived at the Yacht Club, we took a short cut through the lobby and got on the boat to go to EPCOT.

We arrived at the World Showcase entrance and began walking to the France pavilion. Once there, we checked in at Chefs de France and sat outside by the fountain.

After a short wait, we were seated and our waiter finally showed up to take our order. We each ordered appetizers along with our entrees.

I chose the French Onion soup, which was absolutely amazing. It is most definitely a new must do at Disney for me now.

For my entrée I ordered the steak with polenta. It was pretty delicious as well.

Everyone really enjoyed their dinners, but it was time for the star of the show… the chocolate mousse.

Unfortunately, I was SOOO full from dinner that I could only eat a few bites of the mousse. I have to say though, this was honestly the best meal I had the entire trip!

After dinner, mom and I decided to take a walk around the world and look at the Christmas decorations.

After walking around for a few hours, we decided to head back to CBR to rest up for another fun day in AK.

Overall, I was finally starting to feel better and was looking forward to being chased by the Yeti again. Haha. J
