WDW transfers

Can you stay at a WDW resort and pick up DCL transfers at the Animal Kingdom Park still?

If yes what time and is your luggage picked up at resort?

Hmmm...I might be wrong, but I think they discontinued that and they only pickup at the resorts now?

(We did the Animal Kingdom thing in 2008 and it was great spending 1/2 the day in the park.)

Do you mean Park or Resort?

We were picked up at AKL (the main lodge lobby) and taken to the ship. It was great! Our luggage was picked up from our room and the next time we saw our bags they were sitting in our stateroom on the ship.

Disney Dreams - Did you find when being picked up at resort and using transport that you were dropped off late in the afternoon? Trying to decide if a personal transport versus Magic Express is a better way to go. Would like to arrive at dock earlier rather than later. Thanks.

DCL transfers from WDW leave anywhere between 11:30-12:30 getting you to the port around 1:00-2:00 depending on how many stops your bus makes.

If you want to get to the port earlier you need to find other transportation to the port....private car or rental car.
