I've never noticed TL to be more crowded on weekends than weekdays.

It depends on the season. During the summer months, you will have more locals.

Has anyone ever done evening EMH at TL? We are considering it on a Sat in Aug. I think its 8/11

We did EMH at BB on Saturday May 5th. We arrived at 9 and things picked up around 11:00. It wasn't overly packed, but it was a good wait for the chair lift and family raft ride. I would take advantage of the EMH and get all the big stuff done first.

Saturday should be a good time to go. Believe it or not, the water parks fill with more people mid/late week rather than weekend. Since a majority of Disney Worlders are traveling, and the weekends are their first, last, or only days, those days are usually spent at the main parks, especially Magic Kingdom.
