I am with the others, keep the kids in school until school is out. That way, you can get any last minute things done without them watching you like a hawk. If you are anything like me, you'll be doing crap until the last minute anyway.

Speaking of crap, I've had those kind of days too. Nothing seems to go right but it's not like anything really bad went wrong. Just a screwed up day!

I love all of your lists. I'm a list person to the max and it keeps me organized and on track.

I got an invite for BOG lunch during our vacation. I didn't see it b/c I don't do online anything while there. I was checking our flight or something toward the end of our stay and saw I missed it. I still gave it a shot, but it was no longer available to me. So check your email periodically once you're there, just in case.

I'm sorry you had a bad day. It happens. Glad you went back home. Sometimes you just have to take the hint and cut your losses.

It is not sad that you have an excel sheet for your lists. It's normal. Really. Doesn't everyone do that???

D-Cot is a dedicated website for Disney music. It's more park music and parade music instead of movie songs. It really puts me there, you know. It is .org if you want to check it out.

BoG let me book without an invite. I did get one later on...about a week out, but I had already booked it before that. It was around 30 days out.

But....with crowds so low when you are there. You probably won't need a FP. Just eat at an off time. We hopped in line just after opening. And walked right in. And that was with a 9 on the crowds. So don't stress too much over it.

I have been lurking for quite awhile, I too am wondering about BOG lunch. My trip is 35 days out, taking a disney rookie(her last visit was 1975) and my SIL. Celebrating our birthdays. I am looking forward to trip (although this is my 4th this year! I bought an annual pass last Oct and had to get money's worth.) I love your planning as I can relate!

16 hours one way that is without adding in (as Kathy says) Bio-breaks.. So i am figuring about 18 hours to get there.. I am a nervous excited about it.

Your right! I am going to leave them there that's the first week of school.. this way i can get everything done i needed. A half day of work for me is 9am. so this gives me PLENTY of time right???

So update on the kids.

Matt is asking all the time about Disney. I do have friends there and i know SEVERAL people going within the next couple of weeks. Maybe that is why? When i am on facebook and they check that's all they see are pictures of Disney. I guess this could be it. I don't know as i am NOT the one bringing it up. Ever.
Last night was another night. Our friends are there. well more like a Florida trip and went to MK for the day. they specifically told me to write to them to tell them they said hello so they chit chatted for a while on facebook. very cute. I have cousins in DL right now too. So they made me promise again that i will take them for their 11th birthday.. OK!

well maybe not in Sept but i am thinking of doing something Disney next year... I don't know yet. Need to talk to my Family.

Then when it was bed time Matt started in his whiny voice "i wanna goooooooooo to Dissssssssssneyyyyyyyyyy" <--- just like that... honest! This my friends is the only whiny stuff i will deal with. Cuz I WANNA GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOW TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

We took the kids on a surprise trip to WDW, it was the worst trying to not spill the beans. Christmas morning we all got up and told them they had an hour and a half to pack bags and get ready, it was a crazy time in the house, we did it though, headed to airport all was well until we got to Atlanta, and got an extended layover, arrived in Florida to very cold weather that we had not planned for. Christmas evening at the magic kingdom parking lot there were only 2 rows of cars! The bus driver slowed down to point that out, he told us that was extremely unusual but it had been raining so bad people did not want to be at the parks, neither did we - we were headed to Ohana for dinner! Years later the kids confessed they heard me on the phone with Disney reservations and one night I forgot to put away my planning papers and my daughter had to use computer before bed and saw my notes.

This is why i will not do any planning at home.. I know me.. I will slip! I was on the phone with a friend of mine and we were talking about Disney and guess what i did? I SAID SOMETHING ABOUT THE UPCOMING TRIP IN FRONT OF ALL THREE KIDS!!!! all three heads turned to me. so i had to say too bad i have to wait 399 days... then had to tell the friend i had to go and cannot talk at home. could NOT believe i did that.

Update!

So far i have the Thank you cards for CM's completed printed and cut.
I have the binders fixed and completed. The mile markers printed.
I have fixed some of the video need to finish this today.
Confirmed all ressies when i called Disney! Balloon cards are completed.

Still need to do:

Pedi/Mani Making Tom get one too!!!
School shopping Only a few more items to go!
Birthday party! Invitations add more from kids school
Figure out something to put the bazillion pins in. STILL NO CLUE
Car route and stops - figure out a time frame of arrival

Update Excel sheets. (is it sad that i make lists to add to my ever growing list?)
Grocery shopping for snacks and such.

THEN! I was on the phone with a Travel Agent Disney friend of mine talking about pixi dust and fun stuff.. While sitting in the living room with all three kids. 2 playing on tablets Meg playing on the floor with whatever toys she had when i said:
Someone doing some wonderful Pixi dust for my daughter for my Daughter for the upcoming trip.. My eyes got HUGE then added ya know for next year. then told her i had to go because i cannot talk on the phone... oops.

THEN! My sister came by last night where we did partake in a bit of drink...
When she left the kids are i were just talking and about when they were smaller.. which lead to our old videos... Which lead to watching our old Disney videos......
Meg was in tears watching them Matt kept saying how much he wants to BEEEEEEEEE THEREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Zack just flat out won't watch them and went back on the tablet..
Then lead to their birthday. Asking again why we were having it the week before we normally do... I kept with the whole football thing being their first game I'm going to get into trouble by the coach (tom) and why all the kids are tired blah blah.. They replied. What's the big deal we did it last year...
GAH! why are you making me THINK THIS MUCH! especially when i was partaking in a bit of drink earlier!!!!! STOP THIS CONVERSATION NOW..
I came up with some nonsense about them being very tired last year and it was too hard to do..
THEN they start talking about what kind of surprise WE HAD for them and their Birthday... COME ON! REALLY I know you little brats KNOW i had a couple of drinks and your fishing for information! DANG IT YOUR TOO SMART for your darn good!!!!
YEESH! So i said i had to smoke.. I needed an escape....
When i came back in the house It started again.
Matt asked again is the surprise there isn't one? No Matt... Dad and i have something for you guys. I told him i bought a bunch of Disney tee shirts. which they laughed - Hey it's part true!
Then I told them isn't a surprise anything that is unknown until it is known?!?! That stopped them for about 2 minutes.
Yes the literary genius comes out when i have a couple.
Is it a big box? or three small boxes? Hummm.. I don't know?? It could be something for all of you OR it could be individual presents.
Dang it... this went on until i kissed them goodnight and collapsed in bed.. Called Tom and told him our night so he can keep up with the ruse.

Thankfully i worked all weekend so i don't have to encounter too many of these conversations with the kids... it's getting harder by each passing day.
Down to 32 days in telling them and 33 until we are there....


I am off to get a ton more to do.. especially BILLS! so i will talk to you all SOON!!!!
