Funny, isn't it? The different stages of your life. When you're a kid, you can't wait to be older so you can drive. And when you are older, you fuss about having to drive that hour long commute to work, have to pick up that prescription that alllllllll the way on the other side of town.
You can't wait to get out of school to start your real life. And then when you do, you just wish you were back there because it's so much easier.
You can't wait to be adult and have a family of your own, and then once you do, you can't wait for them to grow up and get out of the house because they drew on the wall with mascara, dumped jet dri all over the floor and furniture right before you're having a little party for a set of complete strangers. And then when they're gone, you wish they were back.
It's all so ironic. I would go to work everyday and wish I was a SAHM. And then I got my wish, only to end up nearly bonkers and taking a waitress job just to get out of the house.
There's a song on the radio these days. It's called "You're gonna miss this" by Trace Adkins.
