Walking From Parks to Resorts Possibilities

Was listening to several podcasts in preparation for out September 26 arrival. There was some mention there were ways to walk from some of the parks to some of the resorts and other Disney areas. Is there a map or guide or any information on where these trails/walkways are? There is someone in our group that has extreme motion sickness (cannot even sit in the back seat of a car) so I am unsure how she will be on the Disney buses unless she gets a front seat (let alone siting with her back against the wall).

We are hoping to avoid taxis if at all possible due to budget, but not entirely out of the realm of possibilities; cheap rental car is also an option that is being tossed around. :drive:

All these last minute questions and unexpected scenarios as she joined nearly last minute.

:thanks:

You can walk from the Contemporary Resort to the Magic Kingdom in less than 10 minutes.

You can walk from any of the Epcot resorts (Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan and Dolphin) to both Epcot and the Disney Hollywood Studios. The time involved depends on what resort you are staying in. The Beach Club is the closest to Epcot while the Boardwalk is closest to the Studios. The longest time would be about 25-30 minutes.

No official maps that I know of.

You can walk from the Contemporary to the MK. You also can walk from Boardwalk, Yacht Club/Beach Club and Swan/Dolphin to both Epcot and DHS. Finally, SSR has a walking path to DTD.

Those are the only resort-attraction walking paths. There are posters who do walk other routes and some of those aren't too bad, but they don't follow official paths. Many walking routes are downright dangerous, however.

You can walk from the Contemporary to the MK. You can walk from the EPCOT resorts (BC/BCV/YC/BWI/BWV/S/D) to EPCOT and the DHS. As long as you have a hopper ticket you can walk through EPCOT and take the monorail to the MK.

Renting a car is probably the best solution.

Yeah, what makes it more "fun" is that we are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge for the 4 kids that are in our party of 9; so we are really not going to be close to anything - just wondering if there "official" paths else where as not even sure how she will be be if we take monorail to Contemporary for an ADR at Chef Mickey's on her daughter's birthday. We may have to plan on being at MK that day so she can walk over (don't want her sick before she eats a buffet) :-)

Thanks for the info!

Rent a car. I'm assuming you're not exaggerating the motion sickness problem
Try Advantage (owned by Hertz). Don't try to get a car for your party of 9. Just get an economy car to accommodate a driver, the sick person and whoever fits in the back seat.
