Viva Italia - Sunday or Thursday?

It looks like the Viva Italia trip has start dates on Sundays and Thursdays. Does the itinerary work better with one over the other?

Sorry if this has been asked before. I searched but couldn't find an answer.

I have done the Viva Italia Adventure 4 times and the only time I have ever noticed a real difference was when we traveled over the Christmas holiday.

We spent Christmas Eve and Day in Florence and while it's magical...things were closed either early or entirely.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, but if you were looking for a certain thing to be open....it probably wouldn't be.

We recently did the Viva (like two weeks ago), We chose a Thursday start in the hopes that a pre-day on Wednesday that we could do the Papal Audience... alas... the Pope was not holding papal audiences in July, so we did a some pre-days in Sorrento/Amalfi/Capri.
