Visiting resorts

We are in Orlando this weekend. Since it is just for two days we are not going to the parks. We are spending the day at DTD. We want to go to one of the resorts to see it before staying there on our next trip. Are we allowed to take the bus from DTD?

Sure, be aware that the DTD bus stop is a bit confusing right now, the busses don't always stop at their assigned stop so keep a lookout for the resort you plan on visiting's name on the bus display.
Which resort are you considering? If it's POR or POFQ you can take the boat from DTD to them, which is quite enjoyable.

absolutely. Disney WANTS people to check out their resorts so they are more likely to stay there next time! Feel free to tell cast members why you are onsite- I've had offers to see rooms, etc.

I personally would rather just drive to the resort.
