Villa Help Advice

Have been thinking of trying a villa for a change have found flights for end August at good price with VA and would now like advice on good villa rental websites and which area to go for Calabay Parc or Regal Palms is looking favourite at the moment, are they ok?

Hi.
Of the 2 communities you mentioned we have only stayed in Calabay Parc. The area itself is nice. It is close enough to the parks that it will take around about 20-30 minutes - depending on which one you are going to. There are plenty of local shops (Walmart, Publix etc) and the villa we had backed onto the conservation area. Another nice thing was every morning when the hot air ballooons flew directly over - almost close enough to touch sometimes.The only downside to our stay there - and this would probably be the case for all the communities down the H27 - was that we were only about the 10th or so house in from the entrance, so noticed quite a bit of road noise - especially at night.
If the villa you are looking at is far enough back then it probably won't be a problem - and this is where Google Earth comes in very handy

If you want a gated development with resort facilities close to Disney, suggest you try these three in the Formosa Gardens area - Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms and Emerald Island.

Both the communities you mentioned are on Hwy 27, Calabay is a little further out than Regal Palms but not that far. Regal Palms is all town homes so they do not have their own pools but the community pool looks good.

We have stayed on several communities on Hwy 27 and it is a good location but like Deejay we prefer the Formosa Gardens area which is a much close to everything.

As Kenny suggests on his thread www.orlandovillas.com is a good website for villas as the villas are verified
