Vancouver cruise port - hotel

With the ease of taxis (super cheap) and public trans so excellent in YVR, we did our pre-cruise stay at the Park Inn &
Suites on Broadway. 4 blocks from Canada line & all the major bus lines run up and down Broadway for adventures and whatnot. Very reasonably priced for our stay and had Stamps Landing an easy walk for fun food and other food nearby (Indian, Chinese) and a drug store across the street.

Pan Pacific offers discounts and packages on their website. We stayed there for $230 and it included breakfast. It was so neat to wake up and watch our girl come into port, then eat breakfast with her right out the window. Plus, the ease of them taking your luggage to the ship for you is terrific.

I can’t even think of a hotel in downtown Vancouver that’s not ok for a cruise stay. Taxis are reasonable and clean, and in a pinch a person *could* walk to the port from anywhere in downtown.

The St Regis is often a really good value and a few blocks away from the port. The port is also down hill from there if you want to walk. If not, there is a skytrain station that will take you right to the port. Taxis are of course also an option and supposedly we're getting ride sharing by the end of the year.

Cheapest downtown is probably the Sandman which is a bit further but again, no more than a 10 minute taxi trip and all hotels downtown are located near skytrain stations that will go to the port if you want to go that route.

The Pan Pacific is a great hotel though and worth the splurge if you want to stay right at the port. We spent our wedding night there years ago.

Agree with trying Priceline and requesting a hotel close to the port. While I wanted the Pan Pacific we ended up getting another boutique hotel through it that was pretty close to the port and had a great experience.

pre cruise we stayed at the PP and loved it!! after the cruise we stayed at the Hotel LeSoleil on Hornby, just a few blocks down from the terminal. we walked there and it wasn't a bad walk with luggage. We each had two large pieces of luggage, a carry on size luggage and a back pack. I wouldn't mind staying there pre-cruise if we ever go again.

We got a good price on the Sutton Place through Hotwire (as one of their "Pick a star level and general area, and you'll find out the hotel name after" deals). We found the room to be spacious and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and it was a reasonable walk (~8 blocks, about 30 minutes with luggage) to the cruise terminal.

We love the pan pacific, and try to get a good rate to stay there. After our 2018 cruise, we spent 2 nights at a Holiday Inn (we had points and they had rooms that slept 5) that way about 15 blocks away from the port. It was "fine".... especially on points, but it was not nearly as nice as the Pan.

We stayed here too? It was a good price and easy walk down to the terminal if you have good wheelie bags.
