I always get confused with this. My use year is September, so to book a July 2022 trip, am I using Use Year 2021 points or 2022 points. Thanks!

If you have a Sept UY, your points in that year run from September 1 through August 31 of the following calendar year. Your 2021 UY points run from 9/1/2021 through 8/31/2022 - a July, 2022 trip falls into those months. It can get confusing at times. As you probably know, you can also use banked points and borrowed points for that stay, if needed.

Forget calendar year…only think of UY of the trip when deciding what can be used.

A July 2022 trip is in your 2021 UY…so, you can pay for it with banked 2020, 2021, and borrow up to 50% of your 2023 to complete the trip
