Use Year question with banked points

I have a question about banked points. We have an April use year and got our 2021 points April 1, we also have some points from 2020 that we banked. Originally our plan was to travel to the World in January 2022, but we had to move it to May 2022. If we book at our home resort for May 2022, I know we can use all our 2021 points and half of our 2022 points. The question is if we book in June of 2021 for a May 2022 reservation are we able to use the points that were banked from 2020 or do those points have to be used by March 31, 2022? I think I know the answer, but would like to confirm.

A May 2022 trip takes place in your April 2022 UY. When you book it, you can use banked 2021, 2022, and borrow...currently up to 50%..of 2023 to finish the reservation.

So, banked 2020 points are only eligible for trips in your April 2021 UY, which means they do indeed expire March 31st, 2022.

Also, you will need to bank the 2021 points before you try and book it. Everything is based on time of trip and not UY you are in when you call.

Yes because a May 2022 trip is in your April 2022 UY, The fact that you are calling in 2021 doesn’t matter. All based on when you go!

Don't look at a standard yearly calendar when you are thinking about your points. With your points your calendar starts with the start of your UY. With an April UY, your year starts on April 1 and end on March 31.
