Hello you lovely humans! I am thinking of upgrading out 9day tickets to an AP on our trip this February/March. I have questions that I just couldn't find the answers to!

1) once we upgrade is the new PP option immediately activated (I.e. Should I not get memory maker)

2) can we get TIW immediately upon upgrading?

As I understand it I should scan our tickets on our first day and then go to guest relations. Thanks so much in advance for all of your help!

I think the answers are 1) yes and 2) yes.

If I'm wrong, someone will be by in a second to correct me.

Oh, and since you want to get a TIW card go to guest services instead of a ticket counter. They can do the AP but not the TIW. Guest Services can do both

You can go straight to the ticket booth and upgrade to AP before you use your ticket for the first time. That's what we did when we got our APs this summer. Make sure to check your AP in the MDE app and verify that the expiration date is 1 year from that day and not a year from when you purchased your 9-day hoppers. We had that problem and had go to city hall/guest services for them to reset the date. Have a great trip!
