**UPDATED FINALLY 12/10x2!!**"Ill be your Pin Pimp!" A very sweaty August 2014 TR!!

Such a cute first pin!! Welcome to the cult of pin addicts :rotfl2:

I haven't done Planet Watch in years but my family did it this past trip and loved it! It sounds like it was right up your alley as a vet tech.

You should have chased the pig. Like this is the place where dreams come true. Just go for it :rotfl:

I don't think I've ever actually been back to Planet Watch...I have to get out there sometime, it seems like such a cute area!

omg the pigs are so cute!! I agree with Courtney, you should have chased the pig. it would have made a good memory ;)

Jeez sorry I missed so many updates.

That was quite a first day especially for someone going on no sleep.

The fireworks at those special celebrations are pretty amazing, almost worth the cost of the ticket...almost

I had to laugh at the poorly dressed women costume. So my wife and I went to the Halloween party our last trip in September. We had gone before and dressed as Imagineers for our first time. I am like Pete and only willing to dress up if it is minimal to nothing, but reluctantly agreed to Imagineers because well who wouldn't. It turned out great, fooled a dew people but really impressed mostly just CM's and die-hards. Most people were like "oh the village people I guess?"

So this year we wanted to go down vague road again. I got an orange jumpsuit and put the name tag T Morrow on it. Perfect little effort, and some people might get it. My poor wife went as the little old lady in the 80's-90's section of carousel of progress. Very doughty outfit, grey hair, blue blockers for her WR goggles, and a power glove looking thing on her right hand and wrist. No one recognized and gave her the worst looks like she had horrible fashion sense. And to make matters worse, carousel of progress was closed. She just walked around all night saying "I'm just an old woman with horrible fashion sense"

Thanks for bringing back that memory.

oh yeah Rafiki's planet watch, as a former vet tech yeah that place is awesome. I just spent the whole time talking to one of the CM's who worked there, secretly and jealously coveting her life.

I love all your costume ideas!! I would love to see photos of those!!!

I don't think I would do Rafiki's if I had limited time at WDW, but it was definitely worth the visit!

It really is a cute area and its pretty relaxing and quiet! It was a great place to wander off to by myself!

So after meeting Rafiki I just kept wandering and I ran into a couple'a 'munks! There was again basically no line!

I really fell in love with Chip and Dale this trip. They're just so freaking cute and such a fun meet!

After 'munkin around, I headed back inside and they were finally starting the goat's dental! They sedate and intubate them in another room and finally brought him into the operating room.

One of the techs had to hold his head up for the whole procedure, which I thought was strange. I have never done a dental on anything with a long neck like a goat. Dogs and cats (and an occasional rabbit) are all I have worked with.
The Dr check his teeth and filed them down. He also had a bump on his head that they aspirated to see if it was anything suspicious.

It was all pretty routine, and after watching for 15 minutes or so, I figured it was time to head back to the mainland.

It was a lovely day in the Himalayas.

The sky was pretty happy.

I said hi to the Yeti and then came across the parrot show. I didn't listen to anything they were saying, I was just kind of transfixed by how pretty they all were.

I was starting to get hungry and remembered that AK had a allergy kiosk, so I went over to see if they had any good gluten free snacks. And the heavens shown down upon me in that moment.

I almost hugged the CM through the window. I LOVE DONUTS AND I MISS DONUTS. The cinnamon sugar one was a total dream. I thought the other one was boston cream and was kind of disappointed when I opened it and saw the hole and realized it was just a regular chocolate frosted. OH WELL.

Pete was finally rousing, so I headed back the Beach Club. We walked over to Epcot so Pete could also start his day with a donut.

It was a good thing that we both had excellent breakfasts, because today was to be our drink around the world day. We originally had reservations for 50's Prime Time, but Pete was dying to try somewhere else at Epcot so I switched our ADRs and figured it was better to drink around the world at the beginning of the trip, right?
right.

I'm behind again.

Love the pics of you with Chip and Dale. They really are cute and fun.:)

I'm glad you got to see part of a procedure.

Yay you found a great snack!!!!

Looking forward to drinking around the world.

I love that pin! I have it too. Who doesn't love the mushrooms from Fantasia!

We haven't been to Rafiki's Planet Watch in a few years. But seeing the vet's working would be awesome. We've seen minimal amounts of them working, nothing too major.

That would be awesome if you could work at Disney as a vet tech!

Um, who doesn't find that pig peeing hilarious! :rotfl2:

Those CM's were pretty confident standing underneath those macaws. I'm just saying. I had a bird. Always worried about the poop from the sky. :lmao:

I would have cried if I thought my donut was a boston creme and it wasn't. Because let's just be real, boston creme donuts are the best. Hands down.

Okay, I totally want one of those giant pink donuts. Just because. Haha.

Boston cremes ARE the best. I didn't actually end up eating that donut either :sad2:I put it in my fridge and it froze and got all weird!
We saw the huge pink donuts EVERYWHERE. It's probably for the best those aren't gluten free because I would of constantly had one in my hand.

Joining in, really enjoying your trip so far.

Life has been super busy!
Here is my roommate and me and in our Halloween costumes! I found my costume at Buffalo Exchange for 23$ and it was handmade!! I want to just wear it all the time :cool2:

So when it comes to alcohol at Epcot, our first stop is always at La Cava, because MARGARITASSSS. duh.

93CE6A0C-19EE-4990-89C1-D405FBAA4860.jpg

I love avocado margaritas and tell everyone I can about them. Pete and I both got one and the bartender had a bunch of extra so he gave it all to me. WOOOOO.

865D3FFC-34E6-417B-8329-B7EFF6531930.jpg

Blurry me and lots of tequila. Te amo Tequila.

The cutest caballero was out and about so we went over to say hola!

The character attendant said we had to put our drinks down but Donald wanted me to share. He refused to hug me after I wouldnt (couldnt!!! I would if I could Donald!!)

Unfortunately, the avocado margs really started to hurt both of our stomachs, like really bad, so we sadly tossed them after chugging however much we thought we could handle. It was probably for the best because starting off drinking around the world with 1.5 margs may not be the wisest choice.

We actually had some orange groves to smell, so we welcomed the time to let our margs settle down and skipped over to Soarin.

We had never Soared' before and I LOVED THIS RIDE. It may have been the margs, but I teared up a bit! It was lovely.

Since we were here, we figured we could live with the land a little.

Pete and I both really love this ride. This whole building just has top notch things! Which is why we got off and grabbed a bite at Sunshine Seasons!

We shared some pork chops that had a bbq sauce on them and mashed potates and a goat cheese and beet salad.
5A395212-EAE0-441E-8167-8DF8393F856A.jpg

These were both delicious but the salad was HUGE. I really wanted to take the left overs, but walking around Florida in August with left overs doesnt generally work out that well.

Now that we had eaten and used our FPs, we headed back to the World Showcase!

Margaritas are something I've never developed a taste for. And I certainly couldn't go on Soarin' after just drinking one. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

You guys are so cute with Donald. :)

I'm glad you got to enjoy Soarin' for the first time. It is definitely in our top ten.

The Land is always a good ride. And I'm with you...I love the Land pavilion (I wish the balloons went up and down like they used to years ago).

Your lunch at Sunshine looks really good; we have to get there more often than we do.

You guys look amazing in your Halloween costumes!!!

I can't believe you had never done Soarin'! So glad you liked it, it's a classic.

Lunch looks delicious!

So we walked back through Mexico. We really wanted to stop here, but we didn't. We had a whole world to drink through, so we couldn't be doubling up! ]

This year we figured we would try to do more shots than full drinks. Norway was up next, so we got shots of Aquavit. If you are able to take the shot and not make a face for 10 seconds, you are a Viking!
Aquavit-Bottle-379x625.jpg

We didn't take any pictures there, but we both most certainly became Vikings.

We checked out the Stave Church and then wandered over to China. I got a Plum wine and I don't know what Pete got, but we went and explored the rest of the China pavilion.

0733CEDE-4E95-467A-A0B9-2F3B743DA206.jpg

This exhibit (it's always there, right?) was pretty cool. Pete loves history and thought this area was really cool. I was just happy to be in AC.
Then we checked out the gift shop.
BE0F51C6-ADAF-4AB1-A9E1-029543986132.jpg

This sad panda mannequin cracked me up.

We stopped at the cart that has all the glass ware that you can get engraved because Pete wanted an Epcot Stein or boot. I loved all the couples that they used on the display pieces.

18D04E67-5005-4982-8F60-D4C16BD8F07D.jpg

Germany was technically up next, but Pete had specifically requested/begged me to change our ADR to Biergarten, so we figured we would count our drinks at dinner and skip it for now.

So, up next was Italy for a lemonchello shot.

The CMs loved our hats and we had a lovely chat with them. Hats were so crucial this trip because it was so. freaking. hot. the whole time but I didn't get a headache once! I am now very pro hat!

We stopped in America and I sipped on some red wine and we admired the flags.

Pete's dad is really into flags and has one for every state and has some sort of specific rotation that he puts them up in. We always stop in here and send him some photos.

Up next...do we make it around the world? do we need to be escorted out of the parks? ARE WE PROPERLY HYDRATING?
You'll just have to wait and see.

I never really think I'm a huge Donald fan but whenever I do a meet and greet I fall in love with him!
Soarin' is definitely always going to be a priority now!
Eating at Sunshine Seasons is always hard because there are so many other options in the World Showcase. Everytime I've eaten there, its because I've been in the area and got off a ride and been hungry. Never been disappointed!

You guys look amazing in your Halloween costumes!!!

I can't believe you had never done Soarin'! So glad you liked it, it's a classic.

Thanks you! It was a lot of fun! And luckily all the black hair spray actually came out!
I really didn't expect to like Soarin' as much as I did. I'm so glad we did it!

I wish I could drink around the world. Between the heat and my age, it just doesn't allow me too anymore. :(

Looks like you and Pete were having a lot of fun and with some nice Castmembers too.

I love the shop in China...so much to see.

Oh dear...I hope you are not escorted out.

We had so many amazing CM encounters this trip! It was so nice after hearing here that people were encountering so many sub par ones.

No worries, Pete and I are very polite and respectful guests :thumbsup2

Just got caught up, great costume!

Soarin is a family favorite for us, glad you liked it, I just love the music to it...
...although I think I would really like to drink around the world... I need to do an adults only trip sometime!

Love the music to Soarin' too. I listen to it everyday! :goodvibes

Hey, it looked like Donald didn't want much to do with you as it looks like he was kind of pushing you away.....LOL! :lmao:

Reading along, sorry for arriving late! Don't worry if I had a penny for every time I cried whistle at Disney I would be able to live there permanently :rotfl:

Thanks for sharing your adventures so far!
