Uber aren't legit???
Why?
I think they meant the way they used Uber for pick-up at the airport. Uber is certainly legit.

Sorry, I meant for pick up at the airport. Totally fine everywhere else. Only $$ Uber Black can pick up at the airport unless you want to skirt that and make life a bit hard for a few minutes.Uber aren't legit???

I agree with original poster. I used to be hard core Disney fan. Tired of the Disney's let's schedule everything far in advance, high prices and more for less mind think. I decided to give Universal a try. A vacation at Universal is just more relaxing. I also find their AP to be more a deal and I get more bang for my buck out of the Universal AP
We used to go to Disney just about every 18 months/ 2 years when my kids were little. I HATED that I had to plan where I wanted to eat and therefore which park I would be in on a particular day so far in advance. Personally, I hope that never happens to Universal, I like seeing what I'm in the mood for each day and choosing a restaurant that way.
Now that my kids are older, they have no desire to go back to Disney. They want the thrill rides at Universal. I love that we can walk into the parks from the onsite hotels. I don't plan on renting a car when I head down in November. I think I will use Tony Hinds again to get to/from the airport and Uber if there is anywhere off property we want to go to during our stay. However, we have six nights booked and five whole days that we plan on staying onsite and not doing anything else. I know people say that you can "do" each Universal park in a day, but frankly, I want to experience the parks. I want to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere and not worry about hitting all the rides in one day. I want to sleep in (HEY- it's VACATION!!! I don't want to get up early and race to a park) and go to the pool and lounge around and read a book if I want. I plan on getting us the cheapest annual passes and going into the parks at will over the 5 days. The annual passes are reasonably priced, and it sure makes another trip down within a year a tempting idea. In fact, I'm already considering coming down for a few nights in October 2017 to do HHN with my boys.
I've been reading on another site of future ticket plans for when volcano bay is to be opened
I do not plan to do the third park but love reading about it
Believe it will be a big hit for those that enjoy water parks!
You need to check again- I also received the pin code for the portofino and booked a 6 night stay, which included a Saturday from Dec. 17-23. No multiple bookings necessary.
The OP's dates are in October. That is VERY different than going in the dead time which is before Christmas. Weekends in October are like going between Christmas and New Years or Easter Week.
The OP said the dates were not included in the discount code and that Universal does not allow you to book a full week. ThemeParkGuy and I were just stating that that is not true.
The resorts being full and having no availability during busy October weekends is different than saying you cannot book a week-long stay at Universal (ever).
