typoon lagoon closing for rehap

has anyone heard a rumor about typoon lagoon"s winter closing
in addition to typoon lagoons normal winter closing i heard from a friend who works at disney that the water park will remained closed for several months for remodeling of the locker area and a new slide added Please tell say it isn't so we go down every other month and my husband spends his mornings there while i do all my running around (which is really shopping)
if it is true when does it begin and when will it reopen?

The park will close in January and will probably reopen in March or April depending on construction time tables and guest demand (crowds). The main change area will be remodeled/rebuilt, but the new slide isnt coming yet. The current word is construction on the new area will begin next summer and open when Typhoon opens in 2005.
