two person appetizer for one person

I am going to Disney World alone, without the dining plan. In some restaurants there are appetizer choices that are labeled for two people.

now, on the dining plan you cant get those two person appetizers if you are a single person or just ordering the appetizer for your self and your meal companion is getting another appetizer.

My question is: since I would not be on the dinning plan there shouldn't be any reason why I can't get one of those appetizer as a meal (to save money). Right?
Or is that against their rules?

Not a problem at all. When not on ddp you can order whatever you like. No worries!

As long as you are paying OOP, you can order whatever you'd like.

When on the DxDP, some of the restaurants are strict. I know that Via Napoli and Raglan Road both require two people to use their DxDP appetizer allotment when order the Fritto Misto and any of the "It's for Sharing" appetizers, respectively.
