OK- trying not to panic -although the hurricane is making it's way toward us!
I am trying to complete the online check in. I booked my trip through my local AAA office (never again but that is another story). I went on line, entered my conf. # and it said it didn't match their records.
So, I called Disney and they told me that I should try a different website which brought me to the one I had used www.mydisneyreservation.com/guest. She said that when reservations are done by outside travel agencies, they might have difficulties checking in.
She suggested I call my agent. WEll, of course they are closed b/c of the storm (understandably).
Has anyone else had this problem? I want to do this before we loose power- could be out for awhile and we leave next Wed.
Thanks and for all of you in the path of Sandy- take care and be safe!

Try going to just www.mydisneyreservation.com and drop the /guest at the end. If that doesn't work you'll just have to check in when you get there.

Theoretically it takes less time when you arrive. Your documents and KTTW are printed and waiting for you. You show your ID, they give you your packet and you're off.

Saves time. Your KTTW cards and other check in paperwork is done and waiting for you to arrive. So it saves 10 minutes plus the time you have to stand in line if you didn't do online check in

No really advantages doing on line check in... We've used it about 5 times now hoping our arrival time will have our room ready, but not so much....

Other than than that, if you arrive when a ME bus pulls in and a bunch of guests did the on line check in too, line can be quite long and regular check in have no one .... or vice versa....

I wouldn't worry one bit about checking in on line .. you have a reservation, check in either way takes about 10 minutes or less so it's no big deal that on line is down ... Go and enjoy!

I ended up not having time to do online check in because the site was down when i sat down to do it and i couldn't make the time to do it otherwise before we left. About half of the people that got off off the ME went to the online check in line. Seriously, check in took about 5_10 minutes and the longest part of it explaining who to get around cbr and where or room was. I would not stress about not being able to do it.

I booked through a TA and was able to check in with the confirmation number from Disney.

Your TA should have emailed you the confirmation.
