Which company have you used for trip insurance and what were the results if it was needed?

We Had AIG Travel Guard in 2008 when my wife came down with a severe asthma attack and spent three days at Celebration Hospital. They paid the deductible, increased cost in airfare, my extra hotel fees with no questions asked. I was able to document all expenses, plus the illness. About $2000.

Their contract is pretty clearly laid out before you buy it but you have to read it to make sure. Their are various levels of insurance.

I compared plans on Insuremytrip.com and went with a Travel Guard plan for our 2011 cruise and WDW trip. We had to cancel the day before because of serious pregnancy complications and we got back all of our non refundable expenses with no hassle.
