Hi everyone, We will be traveling with a 13 yr old boy and 11 yr old girl. For those with a similar family, where do you suggest to stay? We are open to different options, we have done All Star Music Suites, All Star Movies, POR and Caribbean Beach. We are not against Deluxe if a deal is offered. We will be traveling in September. So what resort would you stay at and why?

My boy is now 15 and girl 11. If deluxe is within your budget, beach or yacht club. Storm along pool is the number 1 favorite of my kids for several years now. And, location to be able to walk to Epcot and the Studios is great, as those parks are more favorite now as most of Magic Kingdom is ho hum for them.

We also have a boy and girl, although ours are 11 and 9. We stayed at WL a couple of years ago in a bunk bed room and it was great! On that trip, we took the DVC tour and decided to join, partly because we like to have enough beds that the kids don't have to share and we don't have to share with them.

Last October we stayed at OKW in a one-bedroom and it was SO spacious. It was more of a relaxing trip, more time spent at the resort than usual. We also stayed in a THV and loved it. You might look into renting DVC points to stay in a one-bedroom at OKW, BLT, or AKV (all except value rooms) if you want a separate pull out couch and sleeper chair for the kids.

Or the WL and AKL rooms with bunkbeds might be a good option. Both are deluxe but are less expensive than the resorts on the monorail.

For a deluxe, the Poly and CR come to mind as all rooms at both resorts come with a daybed, which would give each child their own bed. The WL and AKL are also great choices as they are quite a bit cheaper than the monorail resorts, plus you can book a room with bunk beds (again, giving the kids their own beds). I think POR is the only moderate that has a murphy bed, along with 2 queens. With that said, if you want to keep the cost down, I think WL or AKL would be a good choice as you get a great deluxe resort for a lot less than the other deluxes :).

We have kids that age. We love the beach club and it's great pool. The Boardwalk is nice too. We love being around the Boardwalk at night. There are magicians, jugglers, etc. it is so much fun. They will love the area. Enjoy!

Thanks everyone, beach club and boardwalk were ones we had considered. So fingers crossed for a good room discount or free dining :)
