Train to Paris Question - can someone help?

Hi, we are going to France on Sunday (whoopee!) and staying at the campsite Le Chene Gris at Pommeuse which apparently is about 20mins drive from DLP.
We want to go into Paris a couple of times, so we were thinking of getting the train as it leaves directly from the campsite entrance.
However, I was watching a you tube video and a family going into Paris from Pommeuse drove to DLP, parked there and got the train into Paris from DLP??

Would this be cheaper? Faster? Any reason to consider doing this over getting the train from Pommeuse?

FYI we have free parking at DLP because of Fantasy passes.

Thanks for any info you may have :)

Pommeuse would take you around an hour to Gare de l'Est - From there you would have to take the metro or a bus to visit the centre of Paris. The trains are like 1 every hour so if you missed one you would be stuck.

The Rer A from DLP takes 40 minutes to Chatelet-Les Halles which is the center of Paris and from where you can walk to Notre Dame, Saint Michel, along the river to the Louvre etc - You can also get out at Auber next stop after Chatelet and you are at Opera, the dept stores, you can walk down to Madeleine, Concorde and even cross to the ET.

The RER runs ever 10-15 minutes. The cost would be the same for the two transport methods.

hth :)
