has anyone ever stopped at AKL just to check it out after spending the morning at AK?
what did you do? lunch? any particular thing to see? Im assuming midday is too late to see any animals especially in the summer! would it be worth the stop or not?

It is worth the stop, but you might not see a lot of animals. During the day when guests are in the parks is when the care takers bring animals to the barns for care. There are always some out, just not maybe as many as you would see later in the afternoon when people are returning.

You could eat lunch at Mara, but that really isn't a destination in itself. You can see the beautiful lobby. There are public overlooks onto all the savanahs, lots of places to see the animals.

From AK, you can just grab the bus to AKL. Very easy.

Yes, we've done it, and it's a great place to visit. Dinner at Boma--I've never eaten so much food! It is a huge resort, and we spent quite a bit of time just walking around taking in all the views. It was late afternoon, and we saw plenty of animals. We loved it and will do it again on our next trip.

thank you - I figure after AKL we can catch the bus to EpCot (and walk back to BCV)
