We are headed to MNSSHP for the first time and were wondering if anyone had any tips for us? Best Parade Location? Best ride to hit? Will our Teens have fun?

First, although the party officially starts at 7, you can use your ticket at 4.

Don't wait in line for candy the first couple of hours, they hand it out by the handful the last couple of hours.

We like Pecos Bill for the parade, or in front of the Hall of Presidents, but I'm sure others will chime in on better viewing places.

Oh, and HAVE A BALL!!!

Here is advice that I wrote in another thread...

Here is what we do...

1) Arrive at the gate at 3:45pm--they start letting people in with just a MNSSHP ticket at 4pm

2) Get pics with any character that is out normally during the day. A lot of these characters will not be around during the party, so if there are any important ones that can be taken before the party starts you'll be ahead time-wise.

3) Grab a quick meal and be done eating no later than 6pm. We eat at Cosmic Ray's.

4) After you eat, hit the restrooms and get in line for your #1 party specific meet and greet. We got in line for the princesses at 6:15 last year and we were in and out by 7:20.

5) Hit the Villains characters. You may have to do several shows to get all of the characters you want. They only stand for photos (no autographs) for 10-15 minutes after each show, so it will be hard to get more than one at a time.

6) Skip the first parade and do the second. Much less crowded. We like to stand for the fireworks and then head to Frontierland for the second parade. We stake out a spot about 45 minutes early. It is a great time to have a snack while you wait.

7) Tons of people leave after the fireworks and then another group will leave after the second parade. This would be the time to ride any rides.

You can get candy throughout the night. Lines move super fast even if they look long. Here is a map with all of the character locations for the party...

This is also are first year attending MNSSHP!!!! Thanks for the great question and also the great answers. They are very helpful!!!!

What time is the park open until? Sunday, Tuesday or Thursday?

MK is open until midnight, but it is a firm midnight. On normal days, you can linger in the shops well past closing time, but on party nights they want you out of the shops right at midnight.

Sundays and Tuesdays are typically less crowded than Thursday and Fridays, but Thursdays aren't bad either. Fridays are the most crowded because the locals like to attend.

Don't waste too much time on rides! The reason you go to one of the parties is for all the other "stuff" going on. One exception to this is the Haunted Mansion. We did the party on Halloween night last year and I expected the HM to be packed, but the line was no worse than usual.

All great advice here ~ Do eat early because food availability later in the night can be limited, other than snacks!

Enjoy the opportunity for adults to be kids again and dress up in the parks.

Also take advantage of any Party specific souveneir shopping you would like to do. There are some Halloween items available in the resort shops but I've had buyers remorse before.

Oh and one other thing...keep an eye out for any special Party Popcorn Buckets. These are fantastic keepsakes and have been getting better each year ♥

Have Fun!
