Time to Board

What is the earliest they let you actually board the ship? We are in a suite and I understand in the first boarding group, but how early should we get to the port? We will be staying at Ron Jon the night before and don't want to rush over to the port with the kids just to stand in line. Thanks in advance!

Terminal opens at 10:00 boarding offically begins at 1:00, but typically around 11:45 they begin boarding.
