I'm sure this has been asked before, since I remember seeing it but couldn't find it again through search.

If I buy tickets now, how long will they be good for? I'd like to know how long in advance I have to plan a trip. I thought I had read a post that mentioned something about not activating the cards, but I never asked what the poster meant by that and admittedly, I could even be remembering incorrectly.

    TIA :)

Any ticket you buy are valid till the day you activate them, unless said otherwise on the ticket. For example if you purchased the seven day deal they are promoting now, they are good till you go thru the turnstyle then you got too use them up in that seven day period..

Now AP's are diffrent they go from the time you purchase them!!

Most tickets purchased through universalorlando.com can be used years later as long as they haven't been used at all. The expiration starts ticking on the first day of use not when you purchase them. There are exceptions to this but if you click on "ticket details," it will say if there is an expiration date. Many complimentary tickets do have a "use by" date though. Annual passes also start on the date that you first activate them by going through the turnstiles.

Thank you both very much! I'll make sure I check out all of the ticket info first then start making plans. Yay!

Ahh--you might have only been half right but, in my book, you are 100% helpful. :grouphug:

one poster made a thread recently and said he bought his UO tickets off of Ebay.

i went to the link he gave and say some of those UO tickets as well as Disney tickets had an expiration date for July 09.

All tickets i have bought thru universal, have never had an expiration date on them.

i still have a one day ticket never used from 1999. no expire date on it.
