Ticket Credit from Unused Tickets

Hi Everyone,

Hoping someone could help out with a question regarding the credit received for unused WDW Canadian Resident Tickets due to Covid. These tickets were originally extended to September 2021 but then were transferred over to a credit on my account. We were never able to get a refund but I know some people were lucky in doing this.

I am just wondering if the credit can be applied to a WDW package or if I will have to purchase the tickets separately? Hoping someone out there may have experience with this. Just trying to save a call to Disney.

Thanks in advance!

I think you'd have a better chance by calling them. You're lucky. I didn't even receive a credit to my account. They just disappeared after that magical date in September. I have tried calling Disney so many times but have given up because the wait times have been too long. Mine were airmiles tickets. Anyone else in this position?

Well I have been told over the phone that they are there.. There is no actual proof except my original receipt that they told me to hang on to... didn't love that security. Hope someone can help you with your answer!

My tickets disappeared as well in September.

I have been told, by people on this board more knowledgeable then me, that the credit is on your account but that you either need to call Disney or talk to guest services at WDW in person to access it. Not sure if the fact that you got them through Air Miles will make a difference or not.

I emailed Disney about this as 3 of our 5 tickets also disappeared from the app which makes it hard to book our dates for April. They said I will need to call to get them upgraded and then they will show up again. I haven’t done that yet but should probably get on that before another price increase happens I guess.

Mine are airmiles tickets that I had input into MDE, and therefore no refund permitted per AirMiles. Prior to their expiry, I called Disney and they told me the value of our tickets would be saved in my account “behind the scenes”. I wouldn't be able to see them in MDE, I would have to call them to apply this credit to a new ticket purchase. Would have normally done this by now since we have a March break trip booked, but most likely the trip won’t be happening, again.

The tickets disappear from MDE but they are still always there … I used my credit against new tickets this past December. CMs can see at their end. It does help if you keep your original email confirmation - and you have to know who the tickets were assigned to. For example, one of my DD21 has her own account that an expired ticket was assigned to. I had her confirmation email & was paying for her new ticket too.

You will get the value you originally paid for them.

I called reservations and they did the upgrade no problem - you can ask for ticket specialist if need be.

I also had luck using the text feature on MDE months prior when I saw the tickets had disappeared. They were very helpful in assuring me they still saw them.

I thought only people with Disneyland tickets were able to get refunds. The WDW ones just stayed as credit. :confused3
