They Closed WHAT? Which do you miss the most?

The only thing I remember about visiting EPCOT Center when I was 8 years old was Figment. I got a Figment figurine and stuffie and I was obsessed with him! I remember going back in 1998 and was disappointed that it was closed. Then when I was at Epcot this past October I was so excited to meet Figment again, but yeah... totally lame!

Also, when I went in 98 to Epcot, my father worked at Metropolitian Insurance so we got some really cool behind the scenes privileges. We were taken back to a private area with free soft drinks and couches, private bathrooms (with gold plated sinks? I seem to remember being really impressed by that) and then we were escorted onto Body Wars - no waiting in line. It was a really cool and I was sad that Wonders of Life pavilion is no longer.

My most missed rides are all at Epcot - Horizons, the original Imagination, and World of Motion. I do love Test Track though so that helps me miss World of Motion less than the other two. :goodvibes

You've hit all of my most missed rides and attractions, except for one: the Catwalk Bar at the Hollywood Studios.

See my screen name + Horizons + Food Rocks (but then I was also mad when they closed Kitchen Kabaret).

HORIZONS!!!!! my all time favorite. as corny and out of date as it was, i loved it. My old college program roomie was able to tour it and walk through the sets. i was so jealous. She also somehow managed to nab a piece of the ride- the icon on the wall when you first enter- before they tore it down (she had connections).

i also really enjoyed IF you had wings. :rotfl:\

i guess i am easy to please. :rotfl:

I have to agree with most of these but I mostly miss Pleasure Island and the Adventurer's Club and Comedy Warehouse and Mr. Toad's.

Animal Kingdom: Tarzan Rocks! and the boat

:thumbsup2 I loved this show, so much better than Nemo, IMO, but I do love the AC that Nemo brought to the park.

Sadly I havn't been around long enough for anything significant to close. I never got to see WOL b/c my own mistake and the only other big thing that is gone is Alien Encounter, which I liked but didn't .

So many BAD decisions made over the years...here are a few of the more notorious ones:

1) Closing 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and leaving the area in a wandering (sad?) state for over 15 years. :sad1:

2) Cutting down the Skyway from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland. :sad1:

3) Transforming Mission to the Moon/Mars into a vulgar and horrifying attraction that was misplaced in the MK from the start (Alien Encounter).

4) Failing to restore Wonders of Life to service in a timely manner! (it's only been 10 years people!!!) :snail:

5) Transforming Walt's original and beautiful Tropical Serenade into the obnoxious and rude "The Enchanted Tiki Room (Under New Management)". :sad2:
