When the waiter came to take our order I asked for his preference (leaving out the Great Texas Roadhouse Food Poisoning Incident of course…) between the steak and the shrimp and scallops served in a puff pastry,
He said that although they’re both good, the steak is WAY better and basically what they’re known for. Hmmm okay sold, steak it will be! I also ordered myself the French Onion Soup which I was sooo excited to try.
In that last picture you can see the portrait of the Beast. It actually changed between his human and Beastly form! It was awesome. Occasionally there was thunder (not crazy stuff like Rainforest Cafe) and the picture would change and the petals would drop off the Enchanted Rose which I got a picture of after dinner!
I forget if it was before or after we ordered, but we got some delicious rolls.
They were warm and soft on the inside but crusty outside! Some good quality bread!
A shot of our drinks by candlelight:
I honestly think the candle was fake...like 99.9% sure but it’s been so long so…
Then my soup arrived!
It was beautiful. So much melted cheese.
It was sooo good. But I didn’t get to finish it because here comes the steak! (plus it was super hot!)
Dinner was amazing. The steak was SO GOOD! I usually get medium rare but I was too scared to say rare after the Great Texas Roadhouse Food Poisoning Incident so I ordered it medium. It was perfect!!!
The french fries and veggies were fantastic as well.
It looks like the Beast was still ruining all his decor..
...hey speaking of the Beast!
Blurry Beast
The Beast comes in, everyone claps (he is the master of the castle after all) then it’s back to eating.
After dinner, it was dessert time!
Everything on the dessert cart looked fabulous, but of course I wanted to try the Grey Stuff!
James and I split this bad boy:
It was so good. The cookie part was a bit hard to break off onto your spoon (James didn’t think so...maybe I’m just that weak!) but the cookies and cream whipped topping was amazing. I could’ve eaten a whole bowl of it. It’s nice and light as far as desserts go.
It took our whole meal but I eventually got a pic of the portrait of Beast changing:
After while we waited for our waiter to run the card I got up to check out the Enchanted Rose.
It truly was enchanting as the petals really fall.
Even the enchanted mirror is there!
On our way out, I snapped a picture of our waiter:
Nice outfit bro!
Seriously, I think it’s awesome.
Then a last picture of the West Wing:
We loved this room and it was by far our favorite for a romantic dinner.
I found Lumiere!
We got a couple pictures of the Ballroom, which I love too and would love to have lunch in someday!
I’d want to be right under the window though!
We then took a peek in the Rose Gallery:
We didn’t know it yet, but we’d be eating here later in the week for lunch!
Next we were to meet the Beast. I was worried that we were going to miss our 7 Dwarfs Mine Train FP since our FP was for I think 7:55-8:55 and it was already past 8:30. Luckily, the Beast showed up not long after that.
The Cast members loved my skirt and they made sure Beast saw it and he was super excited too which I thought was adorable!
As we headed out, there was a case of Be Our Guest souvenir cups (not the goblet but a really cute cup with a lid and the sweetest picture on it!) Since I didn’t get my goblet cup, I decided to get one of these. I asked a cast member if I could purchase one and she was momentarily confused because we had already eaten, but she lead us to the desk, talked to another cast member, and turned around with a cup. I had my money out and she hands it to me saying, “Magical moment!” I smile, say thank you, and ask, “How much do I owe you?”
She kind of laughs and says, “No charge. It’s a magical moment.”
OH MY GOODNESS I WAS ALMOST IN TEARS! HOW SWEET IS THIS GIRL?!?! I thank her profusively, squeal to James, and continue smiling ear to ear about it for the rest of the night.
I also kept repeating “Magical moment!!!”
That is Disney magic. That is what keeps us coming back trip after trip. My first trip I had my magical meeting with Snow White. My second trip was full of this magic but what stands out is we had a crazy fun bus driver who basically told our fortunes and was SOO silly. He was great, and strangely spot-on with his fortunes. The trip before this the magical moment was when I gave a boy money to finish his order and the cast member got me a free cupcake. My Be Our Guest cup is my favorite of all though!
I use it all the time (I had my coffee in it this morning). Let me find a picture online…
Okay so that picture is actually from someone on the Dis, it’s the only one google could find.
This cup is seriously underrated. Also, if you’re reading this and that’s your hand and your cup I’m sorry for stealing your picture!! Google did it first though!
What a dinner guys! If you haven’t tried Be Our Guest, I HIGHLY recommend it.
A+ from both James and I!!!
If you have tried it, and it wasn’t for you (or maybe just a bad experience?) I won’t judge because the following night we had dinner at Ohana and it was just so not good. Which I’m majorly bummed about because I read so many raving reviews and although our server was awesome it just wasn’t good!! But that’s for a different update.
Next up...a night of Magic Kingdom fun and another magical surprise!
