Only took me 6 1/2 hours of busy signals today to get through. So happy I got the day I wanted.

I got reservations this morning...called 160 times ..no joke according to my recently dialed numbers...we are booked for 12/10 at 7pm!! Super excited!!

The reservation is showing up online but its giving me an error when I go to print it out. I called to confirm and everything is good to go.

okay i finally got a cm to contact guest services and they added on my cc and gave me a new res number at first the cm was like im gonna cancel n rebook and i was like nooooo way! She also told me they most likely will be canceling those without cc, but then other cm said no, im glad I gotten mine striaghten out

I called this morning and got a ressie using the automated service. I was not required to leave a cc #. I was able to link it to my resort ressie. I was still nervous so I called back tonight to leave my cc #. I got through in about 10 mins (just now though at 9:30) and she told me that she couldn't add my cc # and that I would not be required to leave a Cc # since my reservation was made today. She said as long as it's showing up in my account it was fine. I'm still not sure I am comfortable with that so I will call again in the morning.

I called this morning and got a ressie using the automated service. I was not required to leave a cc #. I was able to link it to my resort ressie. I am another one of the" shut outs" . I was on the phone for 3 1/2 hours starting at 7 am only to be told all my nights were all booked up. It does hurt a bit to hear about the ta's booking 20 ressies at a time or the people with multiple reservations, but there was nothng to prevent them from doing this. Disney is at fault, not the folks with multiples. Disney has hyped this restaurant for months and had to know it had a huge following. They could have limited folks to one reservation per call or even one call per person. They could have opened up the available days gradually over the course of a few days so there was not everybody calling on one day and redialing or waiting forever. This is a big, long established company that should know how to prepare for and make an opening a happy booking , not the frustrating fiasco this turned out to be.

I love Disney, and we will enjoy the ressies that we have, but I hated today and hope that next time Disney gives as many customers as possible a happy ending to their planning, not the nightmarish experience they gave so many of us today.

This is a big, long established company that should know how to prepare for and make an opening a happy booking , not the frustrating fiasco this turned out to be.

100% agree without a doubt. I've been thinking the same thing all day. My experience was not as bad as some of the others. I was able to get my ADR after about 56minutes on hold, spoke to a live agent and got the date (but not the time) I wanted. After all the horrible stories I've heard on here today, it really makes disney look bad. There are people who have been up all night, been on hold for over 6 hours only to find out nothing available, not to mention the credit card nighmare.

I used the automated system and there was no ability to leave a credit card, even though there is warning about the cancellation policy???

I am still nervous. I got the exact date and time I wanted and from what the boards are saying it's now sold out so I called AGAIN and got through at 9:55 only to have a guy tell me the exact same thing. "If your reservation was made today you don't need the CC # to hold it". He said reservations starting tomorrow will. I am still uneasy about it but that is TWO people who told me this so... I know I will end up calling again some time tomorrow to try to add my CC #

I was looking at my reservation and see that they take regular dining plan this year. But, it looks like it will change next year. Am I correct in this? Also, there isn't any price listed on the menu. Does anybody know what type of restaurant this will be? Will this be like a wedding where they ask what we want on the menu and serve the mass and we all leave at the same time for the next group? Just wondering.....

I was and called back. They told me that due to all of the hoopla and such it may take until tomorrow to get them to show. When I called back they gave me the same confirmation number and said I was good to go.

Thanks! That's a big relief. I didn't have the stomach to "hold" again, lol. Avoided the telephone for the rest of the day.
