I went through most of this thread and didnt see this question asked...

just wondering if we can do CS at BOG and still have essentially the same dining experience that we would if we did TS?

Certainly I understand the difference between CS and TS but just wondering if it will still be a "magical experience" if we do CS?
I'll be going with my 3 little grandsons and they do like the "Beauty and the Beast" movie, so I'd like to have them enjoy eating at BOG and will gladly do a TS meal if the Dis vets think thats the way to go for a better experience
Any ideas or opinions?

I agree with the answers above - one thing I would like to add, is to consider the madhouse it might be for lunch! I can imagine that from 11/19 till just after New Years, it will be "hard" to get a table for lunch and I'm afraid that the lines will be very very long!
So I think that lunch can be a just as good and magical experince as TS, but IF the lines and crowds for lunch is insaine, an ADR for dinner would mean that you and your grandsons won't need to stand in a very very very long line to just order and get a table!

I'm planning to eat at BOG 12/30 and I have made and ADR for dinner just to be sure I get a table and secure the chance of eating at the restaurent... Even though I would have been just has happy eating lunch there

I know this is not official or anything, but when booking online it shows only 2 dollar signs, as compared to 3 for Cape May, Le Cellier, Coral Reef and some others. Again, not really official but maybe that's a little insight into the range of pricing.

For years down the road, l really like the table delivery idea (like WGP) but for selfish reasons, I wish it wasn't like that on our upcoming trip. We have a dinner ADR - the lunch menu looks really good though. Much more appealing that the other cs restaurants. I really don't want to spoil our dinner ADR by having lunch there though! Know what I mean? Wish I could go in, order food 'to go' then eat it outside at a lovely table taking in the FLE surroundings. And yes, I created the lovely outdoor seating area in my little fantasy

we are so bummed... we changed our reservations from next month to December specifically to get to dine at Be our Guests restaurant. We called for hours and finally got through to find out there were no times at all during our reservations... i have been calling and checking online every day
If anyone plans on canceling their reservations from Dec 8th-15th please message me so I know when i need to be on the phone with disney! You would make our whole family go from this

I am very intrigued by the "snowfall" in the dining room, and the waltzing Belle and Beast that are supposed to dance (I believe) while a music box plays the songs from the movie (read about that in the "Mickey Monitor") -

I truly believe this will be a "MAGICAL" experience !!!

From my understanding, the snow won't be IN the dining room. It will look like it's snowing outside the windows of the Ballroom. From the Disney BOG page:

So, I know my date is sold out, and I already have a reservation, but I'm a glutton for punishment and thought I'd just check online to see if any other times were open to switch to. I'm looking at November, and this is what's coming up when I search:

The dates on your Resort reservation do not qualify you for extended booking dates. Please try another date or call the Disney Reservation Center at (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. Guests under age 18 must have parent or guardian permission to call.

Anyone know what this means? I'm within my 180 days, and even within 90 days, so I'm not sure what "extended booking dates" would mean?

I know others have reported the same problem.

Try disassociating it with your resort reservation and doing it again. You don't need the extended booking window anyway.

I found out on Wed. that they started taking phone reservations on Monday 8/20/12 and online reservations on Wed. 8/22/12. I tied to get a reservation for 3 for dinner any day from December 21st- 30th and they were all booked. I'll keep checking someone is bound to cancel.

Man...I just booked a reservation for a tentative anniversary trip in January, and it was hard! Everything at a normal dinner time seems to be taken. I guess we'll be eating a late breakfast/early lunch that day to accommodate the early dinner.
I just wanted to make sure it was an option.

Funny you should ask !! We are booked for Thanksgiving, and just called today to ask the same--- I was told that in addition to the "regular" menu, there would most likely be some "Traditional Thanksgiving dishes"
