I think your family would have a lot of fun on the cruise.

I'm trying to add as much detail as possible so that those who have never gone know how it all works. :thumbsup2

Yuck, my Dad is not good looking. :scared1:

The ship was amazing, I loved it. As you walk through the halls you can hear Disney music quietly playing in the background. :thumbsup2

Oops, I almost missed replying to you Myst!

Yeah, I chuckled too about the rope drop on the cruise ship.

What are your TO dates again?

I woke up pretty early, my body must still have been on Ontario time which was three hours ahead of BC.

I poured myself a bowl of cereal and had a nice breakfast out on the balcony.

This is Dad's super fancy telescope. His old one was broken by the moving company so they paid for this one. Dad is in love with this thing and uses it almost every night.

Our Aunt Orla (Dad's sister) and Uncle Rob were in town, they were driving home after a vacation in Banff. They were going to come over to the house for brunch and we were going to pick Grandma up and bring her over so she could spend time with the family out of the nursing home.

I stayed at Dad's while he, Alek and Erich went to get Grandma. Angelica (step-sister) came into the computer room while there were gone and asked if Alek, Erich and I would like to go to the water park with her and her friends. Well unfortunately we hadn't brought our swimsuits so I had to tell her no. That was pretty much the last time that Angelica initiated contact with us during our visit. The rest of the week she was either in her room or in the rec room watching tv.

Aunt Orla and Uncle Rob arrived just seconds before Dad got back with Grandma.

We had a nice visit with everybody. Maria made way too much food as always.

Grandma couldn't stay at the house for too long, she gets overwhelmed and tired easily. I think she only stayed for about two hours before we had to take her back. I went with Dad and Alek to take her back and then we stopped at the grocery store to get more wasp spray.

Back at the house we chatted with Aunt Orla and Uncle Rob for a while. Erich fell asleep at one point and started snoring REALLY loudly which had us all in stitches. He was only out for a few minutes and didn't even realize it.

After Aunt Orla and Uncle Rob left to drive the rest of the way home Dad decided he was going to take us on a hike to Bluenose Mountain. It was only a thirty minute drive from his house. He said this was going to be a test hike to see how we did so he could plan the rest of our hikes for the week.

Well the hike was very steep! I had a bit of a hard time since I am so out of shape so I was lagging behind them all by a few minutes. They would stop every once and a while to wait for me to catch up.

Unfortunately due to the firest fires in BC our views and thus our pictures were somewhat hazy due to the smoke.

Here's Erich trying to give me a heart attack by straddling a crevice in the rock.

I seriously felt like I was going to be sick watching him do this. Alek and Erich though it was great fun.

All in all the hike took about three hours.

We returned to the house where Maria once again made copious amounts of food. I don't know why she always made SO MUCH, there was no way we could eat it all.

After dinner we went downstairs and watched Taken and then retired to bed. Tomorrow we were planning to drive two hours to go hiking in Revelstoke National Park.

Yeah, I am kinda weird when it comes to heights. I can do roller coasters no problem, plane rides I am only scared during take off, landing and bad turbulence but stick me on the side of a mountain and I am crying for fear that I am going to slip and fall and die. :confused3 I also feel sick when I am high up in a tall building and I look out the window. I know I am strange. :confused3:rolleyes:

The desserts definitely did not disappoint on this trip! I am not a huge dessert person but wow did I love my desserts this trip. :thumbsup2

Yeah, Alek and Erich continued their cliff dangling antics on the rest of the hikes. Their response to why was "So Mom will freak out when she sees the pictures.". :headache:

Love the hiking shots. Were your bros. partaking in a re-enactment of some old warrior stick battle? :rotfl: Btw, I would have been real nervous with someone standing in that crevice too. BAD BROS!!
