Day 2: Oct.30th
I had set up my alarm clock at 7 am because i like to have the bathroom for me before the others get up and much to my surprise i could see my son Edoardo (the one that can sleep up to midday and beyond if you let him do that) was already awake.
More he was awake and VERY upset with his brother because they had shared a double bed and he had been tossing and turning all night long so he could not sleep properly.
And when he wakes up in a bad mood he can be very nasty.
So we had to cope with a moody him, he just opened his mouth to tell his brother *you're stupid* *let me alone idiot* and other nice things like that until i could not help but shout at him that this was the last time i would had payed for his holiday because he could not spoil our fun with his bad mood.
Breakfast at the SL was more organized than at the Cheyenne, i liked the fact it was a CM to sat you down instead of wandering around for a table as at the Cheyenne, the buffet anyway was more or less the same:
mine:
Brian's
Edoardo then went for a walk on his own and joined us again when we were queueing for the Studios, still in a bad mood but not as bad as before.
The queue for Nemo was already very long (about one hour) and so we decided to let it go for the moment and went to Studio Tram Tour instead.
I like it when it gets to the special effects even if it was not too great to get wet on such a cold day lol
After it we moved to Rock and Roller Coaster to get a Fast Pass but as the queue was just 15 minutes we joined in and Brian went for a coffee (he is the chicken of the party and doesnt do Rollecoaster LOL).
RnR made the miracle and Edoardo's mood changed for better, i just love this Coaster as the mix of speed and music really thrills me a lot!!
The Stunt show was just beginning and we went straight as it's one of Enrico's favourite.
Not Brian's i would say as he nearly fell asleep - or was resting his eyes as he pretended lol
I tried to convince the kids to try Tower of Terror but they said no for the moment - actually Edoardo was not sure he wated to try it - and so we moved to the Park as we had The Lucky Nugget booked for 1 pm.
We had never been there before but we loved it even if i found a bit disappointing the fact we were not sat at a *proper* table but on the balcony.
Not so many characters were there: Baloo (who didnt visit us at all),
Goofy,
Rafiki
,
the Cat of Pinocchio
and Capitain Hook
.
He was the best one, Enrico had made a mess on the table and so he pretended the kids could lick it and when they refused to do that he knocked their heads togheter: THANKS HOOK LOL
I praise once more my Gold Card as the amount of the discount covered our drinks.
After lunch we went to BTM to get a Fastpass (for late afternoon) and then the kids went for a walk alone and Brian and me first jumped on Molly Brown for a tour of the lake
and then went to Phantom Manor as it had started raining.
The queue seemed long but in just 20 minutes we were inside, shame the ride stopped five times, Brian thought there could had been special effects for Halloween but nothing special happened.
It was still raining we joined the kids in Discoveryland, grabbed Fastpasses for Space Mountain and went to Star Tour. This was the longest queue we made, about one hour, but as it was coldand wet ourside we didnt mind.
Edoardo used to be scared to death of Star Tour the very first time we were there in 1996, now he thinks this ride would need a refurbishment.
Time for Space Mountain then. This was my first ever Rollercoaster and even if i now think it's a bit too rough i still love it.
Good think the music was working and - even more - that it seems now a lot quicker - and more similar to Mission 1 - than it was last year.
We went back to Frontierland to go on BTM and much to our disappointment it was down!!!!
I asked to the Cast Member what about if the time of our Fast Passes would had expired by the time it would had opened again and he said we could had used them anyway.
So we moved to go and try Phantom Manor again but as we get closer there we could see BTM running so we went back and joined the Fast Pass queue.
I can tell BTM at night is amazing and even if it was cold and rainy it felt like skipping the drops.Brian suggested we could had asked to stop the Train on top of the mountains and take some pictures but shame it was not possible LOL
We were cold and wet then
and so we left the Park to the Village for dinner. We decided to try something new and went to King Ludwig's Castle.
Now, Brian and me had spent New Year's Eve in Munich and it felt like we were there again, sausages, sauerkrauts and beer LOL
We chose the 17.99 euros menu, the choice was not very big (a starter and a main course or a main course and a dessert) but anyway enjoyable. Sorry no pictures of the food this time.
A little walk around the shops and then time for a hot bath and a sleep. We had decided i would had slept with Edoardo and Enrico would had slept with Brian.
Good for us Brian has a better mood than Edoardo...........but will tell you about this tomorrow.
End of day two.
