Tonight I am making chicken soup with cavatelli and carrots, and popovers. I am still trying to use up the rest of that darned roast chicken. I think after tonight the rest of it is going in the freezer.

We have cub scouts at 6pm. I'm going to make a pot of chili this afternoon so we can eat early. Maybe I'll heat up some corn and throw together a salad to go with it.

I'm cheating tonight :) Dh & I will be eating out :teeth:

Creamy Rice, chicken and spinach. Will post a recipe if it turns out good.

I'm off to my new job this morning! EEK! I'm a little nervous!!!

Tonight I decided to have an easy dinner, just in case I am tired from working (from being excited and nervous, not from overwork, hee hee). We are having meatball sandwiches with sauteed mushrooms and green peppers on top. We are also having steak fries.

WFD at your house??

Lindsay, have a great first day!! :goodvibes

I'll toss a steak on the grill for DH this afternoon and then the kids and I are going to Chuck E Cheese :scared:  That place freaks me out, LOL so we only go about once a year normally ~ maybe it won't be so bad now that my kids are older.

Tonight we're having chicken enchiladas and rice. I took out ground turkey to make chili and DH made a face and suggested enchiladas.

Good luck, Lindsay! Let us know how your first day went. :sunny:

We're having leftover rigatoni tonight.

Good luck on your first day, Lindsay! :wizard:

Tonite I am making a polynesian chicken over rice. DD has a luau themed pot luck so I want to see if it is good before she makes it for her coworkers.

Good luck with your new job, lindsay! :goodvibes
I took out some ground turkey to defrost, so we'll see what happens with that. I'm out of ideas at the moment! :confused3

:wave2:

How did your first day go, Lindsay?

My dinner plans have been screwed up and I'm mad! I made extra rigatoni last night and put two servings each in Ziplock containers. DH ate a whole container full last night before he came to bed, and he took another container to work! :furious: I don't have time to make dinner because I'm overloaded with schoolwork.

Any ideas besides making DH cook?

I have chicken in the slow cooker & we will have mashed potatos with gravy & a vegetable.

Call the pizza man, if you can.

I am having Greek Chicken livers and tater tot casserole (not the Dugger's recipe).

The chicken I had last night turned out really good, I had the leftovers for lunch today. Here is a link, I got it from the Kraft Foods web site.

Ooh, that creamy chicken dinner looks good! Thanks for sharing the recipe.

When I told DH he had to make up for dinner, he said he'd take us to our favorite deli. Okay, it's the only "real" deli in this town, but it's still really good. :teeth:

Morning all!!! My first day was awesome! I think this is something I am really going to enjoy. I was very nervous and had a headache most of the morning (typical when I am nervous), but everything went great!! :) Planning an easy dinner last night was a great call. My head was pounding so hard I was in no mood to try something new, so I am making it tonight.

We are having page 50 in the Rachael Ray365: No Repeats cookbook. It's Jumbo Chicken, Spinach, and Herb burgers. I haven't tried it yet so if it's good I will post a recipe.

What are you having?? :)

Lindsay ~ that's great about the new job! Sorry about the headache though (I get migraines that are easily triggered by stress so I can totally relate)...hope you'll be much more relaxed now that the "new and unknown" part is over! :goodvibes

As for dinner tonight...it looks like it's going to be drive-thru food ( :sad2: I hate to do it but we have a specialist appt. for DD11, school carnival and piano lessons ~ we will be out all day).

Glad to hear that your first day wnt so well, Lindsay!

I am not cooking this evening. My DH and I both have Dr appts in the late afternoon. I love the fish sandwiches at Mickey D's, yes I am a fast food junkie, and this is a good excuse to indulge. :goodvibes

Fridays are usually pizza and movies night here! Have great weekends everybody! TGIF!!! :sunny:

Tonight we are going out. We have to go down to the North End to pick up some antipasto stuff for a party we are having tomorrow, and then we are going out to eat. Right now I am leaning towards oysters, though I have been craving sushi lately too.

I forgot to post my dinner yesterday. It was eggs baked in ramekins with garlic, rosemary, and thyme, a mixed greens salad with blood oranges and red onions, and crusty bread.

Edit to say that we did not have oysters or sushi. We went out in the North End and had fried calamari, roasted cod and tomatoes with garlic pasta, and a farfalle with salt cod, jumbo shrimp, artichokes and potatoes. Yum, carbs!
