The Official Sept Photopass Thread

I will be the group leader for group 24, but I have never used photopass and do not know the first thing about it. If someone can explain to me what i will be doing please help.
Thanks

2tinkerbells -- I just saw your post volunteering to be the GL for 24. chiefdragon had PM'd me. Thanks, though, for offering to do it!!

Does anyone know about this, and if we are getting the photopass (with a group), can we book a session?

17 August 2007: New Grand Floridian Portrait Sessions

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- There's a new occasion to "say cheese" at Walt Disney World Resort: during individual portrait sessions now available at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Guests who desire a more one-on-one photo experience during their Walt Disney World vacation can book a shoot at the majestic Victorian-style resort where a Disney PhotoPass photographer escorts the group through some of its most picturesque backdrops. Consultations are available prior to the shoot to discuss wardrobe, session location and theme options.

Guests can create a portrait package that suits their individual needs with two current offers: a single sitting ($49.95), and a package that includes a sitting and a PhotoPass CD with all of the digital images taken by theme park photographers during a guest's vacation ($124.95). For more information or to book a portrait session, visit Disney's PhotoPass desk on the second floor of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or call 407/824-1700.

WOW, this would be nice!

I called to book a session in September. You buy the CD during you sitting and then at the end of your trip come back to the GF and have them re-burn your photos.

What if we are getting the photopass with other DIS'ers? And are buying the cd before the trip? I would love to do this, if it can be put on cd, already ordered,

I'd either suggest calling them to ask, you'll pay the $50 sitting fee. I want to be able to add boarders on my photos and I may call back and ask them about that.

This is such a great idea! Is it too late to be added to a group? My family and I will be going on our first trip Sept 16-28.

OMG ONE MONTH!!!!!! :cool1:  :yay: :dance3: :cloud9: :cheer2: :woohoo:

I'm so glad I found this group to share my excitement with!

Updated!

That portrait session at GF sounds really neat. If/when we go back with extended family, I will definitely look into that. I think it would be easier to do with a family group that's all there rather than trying to do it on a photopass share.

So, am I too late? Can you add me on for Sept 9-15?

Also, what is the easiest way to keep track of this thread? I have never done this before, but this PhotoPass thing is to good to just read about- I kept debating whether it was worth the $125, or if I should just stress about getting good photos.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the DIS!

the easiest way to keep track of this thread is to have your user profile (User CP -- located in the upper left corner) for this thread set to instant emails.

To make sure it is:

Go to user CP
Then in the lower left side click on "List Subscriptions" (This will show all the threads you posted on or subscribed to)
On the Right hand side, check to see that it says "instant" under the "Notification". If so, then every time someone updates this thread, you'll get an email.

If it does not, then click the little box to the right, page down to where it says, "Selected Threads" and within that scroll down and click on "instant notification" and then hit "Go".

You can also change your notification status at the bottom of the page on your reply (before you hit send). This will be specific to a particular thread. The other option allows you to change multiple threads at once.

HTH!

Also wanted to add that for very active threads you do NOT want to have instant notification or else your email will be bombarded.

You can also just go to User CP, List subscriptions and it'll show when the thread was last updated and by whom.

Updated! Still some space available if you're interested in sharing the photopass cd.

So....who's started packing already?!

We are going to MNSSHP on sept 14. I know that you can buy the pics taken that night for 50% off. Would I have to get a separate photopass card for that night so I can purchase the pics that night? or should I just not purchase the pics and have them put on the CD?

thanks

Okay, so I haven't started packing, but I have started a to-do-list and am buying a few items that I need per week.

Also, I just cleared the digital camera card, which is huge (haven't done it since last Christmas)!!!

GoofItUP- Please sign me up for a group to share a PhotoPass.
Thanks again!
:cheer2:

Updated again.

WaltPolly -- check Pg 1 of this thread to see which group you've been assigned to. Also, you'll probably want to get 10 posts so that you can get/send PM's. So....tell us what you've packed 8 times! ;)
